I have the slim loaded up for tonight's shave, but I used my EJ89L the last couple of days. I still can't decide what razor is my favorite, and with 5 more on the way it will just get harder:eek:

yep, Walgreens special styptic. I've not needed it yet, but it comes in handy when the Wife cuts the dog's nails too short!

Ah, a dog grooming tool. That explains why I didn't recognize it.

And this from a man who, about a year ago, didn't think DE could work for him.

Oh they don't work for me at all, but I am stubborn so I keep buying more hoping to find the right one:p

I think that the one time I tried them in the past the scar on my chin was still fresh and more pronounced and that was why it was a problem. Now I have no problem with it, no ingrown hairs. Every now and then I catch the mole on my cheek, but haven't done that since Mantic59 gave me the little advice about it:thumbup:

My "Stuff" is growing. This type of shaving can be addicting!

Single Ring (1921?)

The package came with the two cases as well. I have all but the Single ring sitting warm soapy water right now for a pre scrubbing, then I will decide what to do with them after that if they need more cleaning. then is barbersol to sterilize them and shaving time. Not sure how I am going to approach the silver Single Ring. It looks like it has had a cleaning but I think it will brighten up some more, I need to do a little searching for the best method. Once everything is cleaned and sparkling I will take a full shot of everything I have to date

That makes 12 DE razors in less then a year, two badger brushes a few aftershaves and balms, and numerous soaps and creams. There are still a few razors I want to get like a 40's Super Speed and Flare Tip super Speed. Wouldn't mind a Fat Boy, but the prices are a little high right now, and maybe a New Improved, just to round things out.

All of my stuff after selling a lot of stuff I didn't use anymore. I just sold the last of my DEs.

How do people find open comb razors work for them?

Fine selection of gear there gents, I feel you may have to be putting up some extra cabinets.....

I don't know about the newer open comb razors, but the older ones that I have, while masters of facial hair, are very gentle. I hear that this is because they are designed to use with the thicker blades of old. I still haven't used the single ring, I am saving that one for this weekend.

Aha! That's interesting. I'm looking for an aggressive razor you see.....

Have you tried a slant?

Also, if you like aggressive, a GEM Micromatic Open Comb single edge razor is pretty darn aggressive and can be picked up cheap.
