Show off your GEC Acrylics

Is that the same acrylic that they’ve also called Draft Beer and Tiger Eye? Looks maybe a bit more orange, but pretty close to the same stuff.

This is my first GEC Acrylic. Can’t say it knocked my socks off due to the seam running down the center. I didn’t think it would have been possible to mismatch a random pattern acrylic, but GEC succeeded there much to my chagrin. Certainly not as nice as the dead skunk seen on some of the older models.

Nifebrite is probably my favorite GEC acrylic.

These are my girls’ knives, carried on the days they were born. Eleanor’s #71 just happened to be the knife I had in my pocket that day; Scout’s #15 was obviously chosen intentionally. :D

I have a couple others, as well.

Here’s the #71 doing it’s thing in the dark.

Did you say Knifebrite? Very  stuff! This is simple but so excellently finished and it can glow...

Not meaning to be rude, but have to say most of the recent DS release on the Crown Lifters is not very inspiring or clever compared to earlier efforts. Here the Pile side of a 68 White Owl.

I just wonder, has anyone heard an explanation from GEC about the split covers on the dead skunk 85s? I mean, how hard could it be to have a solid piece for each cover?? . . . they always have in the past.

Yeah, hard to understand what happened with the recent DS 85 run...a shocking fail by GEC. The knife is very well made, but the acrylic execution detracts significantly from the quality. I’d be surprised to see those covers on a Rough Rider, Schrade, or any other “lesser” brand. On these GECs with the price point they command it’s unconscionable.
