Yeah, hard to understand what happened with the recent DS 85 run...a shocking fail by GEC. The knife is very well made, but the acrylic execution detracts significantly from the quality. I’d be surprised to see those covers on a Rough Rider, Schrade, or any other “lesser” brand. On these GECs with the price point they command it’s unconscionable.

Totally agree.
I was so disappointed in these seams, I dumped mine right away.
Sad, cause I really like Dead Skunk on other runs.
Here's what mine looked like, no way I was never not going to be annoyed by that seam.

I believe those are GEC 06 Pembertons (clip point) from 2013 in Blue Angels Acrylic. Please Camillus correct me if i'm wrong. They are both gorgeous!

Thanks. This is one of my favorites in the collection. I wish I had went for more acrylics when I started collecting. They’re so much nicer in person than what photos show on most acrylics.

+1. Love GECs knives and the older dead skunk acrylics. The seam didn’t work for me either.
