Show Off Your Knife Collection!

Plus a Wenger Esquire and Victorinox Classic.

Very modest collection size. I don’t see adding much to it over the next couple of years. The 0562 and 0609 are so good, they’ve made it difficult for me to get excited enough to want to buy anything else.

R RBid What are your thoughts on the TiSpine? It comes and goes from my WTB list, mostly because my experience with Lionsteel has been hit & miss with regards to fit & finish.

(Nice spread of blades in your pic, btw.)

Nice blades! I’ll try to get an update for mine tomorrow.

A part, but certainly not the whole collection.. It may look like they are all the same, they are not. Subtle differences between some and more obvious differences in others..but it's basically done.

Very nice lineup. Are they all different years too?

Some are different, but it makes sense that not all could be different years when they were produced from 2008-2012,

So, after nine tries, have you found the perfect set up yet?:D

My rotation. I’ve let two go and added one since the last time.

You would think huh? or is that the definition of insanity; Trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results :p

Nice collection!

Chefget Chefget , what is the knife with the bone scale and spydiehole?

Lots of other interesting stuff you got there too!

Honest take on the TiSpine:

It’s beautiful to look at. This view shows the lock side...

Pocket clip lets it ride very deep in pocket, and it’s space efficient. Pocket clip is also a handy overtravel stop.

Very comfortable in hand. That includes extended use.

ELMAX blade steel, of course. Good stuff.

Deployment on the 6-7 I’ve handled is weird. I have to pinch from both sides of the deployment hole to break the detent, then roll it slightly in hand to finish the open with my thumb.

The lockbar is very slightly sticky on mine, even after 3-4 years of occasional carry and use.

Blade stock is around .15”, if I recall correctly. Surprisingly thick for an elegant looking “gentleman’s folder”. I have cut a lot of cardboard with it. It’s noticeably less slicey than my BM 551 or ZT 0609. Very usable, very capable, but not my first choice strictly in terms of utility. If you migrate towards chunky stock, you’ll enjoy it.

It’s very different. I love it. I love carrying it, and haven’t hesitated to use it.

I hope that has been useful!
