Second from top left? Looks like maybe a southard. intriguing!

Real Steel Megalodon 2017. $207 at BladeHq, and it feels like a $500 knife. Best action I’ve ever experienced, short of an Andrei Sander Contra, and even better in use. .14” M390, nice and thin behind the edge.

End of the year, barring Christmas miracles.

Very sweet lineup. How do you like the ZT 0470? Does it compare similar to any other knife? I love the looks in pics. Would have added it for end of year, but the fun-d$ dried up.

Since my post on the first page (<a href="https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/show-off-your-knife-collection.1481014/#post-17038837">Show Off Your Knife Collection!</a>), I haven't really added much this year. At least compared to past years of out of control fun with knives.

Most recent, pic already used too many times. But I'm really liking these little WE Knives. May not be the super duper Overbuilt blades that are so popular now. But they both have a lot of character in use and looks.

And the Traditional's Annual Forum Knife.

And an Op, and a couple hobby blades.

And a couple Böker Pry's.

I'm still a little unclear why my wife is pissed. Something about finances and the bank saying bla bla bla..... Not really sure what was said cause these knives are just so pretty..... SQUIRREL !!! Wait, what was I saying? ;) .

And a bit more WE made stuff.

Could be about where I left off. Not really sure. But somewhere along the way I got distracted and fell into an anodizing rabbit hole. Pretty sure every piece of Titanium in my home is now of some other color than it entered as.

bflying bflying WOW! Your anodizing skills are superb, sir! I’m blown away!

The 0470 is very good. I have very few complaints about the 0609 (pivot tool and pocket clip are very minor), and the 0470 has the same strong points, without the quibbles. I’m going to get a review up this week, and the only negative so far is minor lock stick as the lock bar on mine can move slightly in during cutting where heavy force is required. The default lock up on mine is fairly early (passes very hard spine whacks, in case anyone is wondering), so moving in slightly leaves it in a very acceptable range, with very minor stick. I suspect it has a slight burr on the lock face, and will wear in soon.

Beyond that, it’s very, very good. The blade is a dream come true. Good grind, good stock, good steel. Ergonomics are very good. Pocket clip is perfect as a clip, as well as in hand. It’s a rare ZT that is actually an even better user than it is as a fidget toy.

Thank you Rbid. I've actually had a lot of fun toying around with anodization. Got just a "bit" out of control. I know I well crossed the line between adding a little bling or character to a nice knife, to openly strolling around in MTech-ish land (not that there's anything wrong with that). :D .

Thanks for the info on the 0470. I held off earlier from buying the 0609 & 0393. I was mostly just trying to juggle and time funds. But each time I had a little cash, I just couldn't pull the trigger. But since seeing that 0470, I knew I'd have a hard time resisting.

You definitely need a xm18... ;)

Don't have any current photos of my whole collection and have even less time to put one together right now. :(
So this old photo will have to do.
Here is what I can only describe as "most" (new additions have made this outdated) of the top end of my Bird and Trout Collection. I have a number of other B&T knives but these are most deserving of the face time. Nearly all are production knives, $100 or less. Couple of Customs are in the mix. More get added as the bank account allows.
This only encompasses about 12% of my total collection. Fixed blade hunting knives are in the majority for me. The split running 7:6, fixed to folders currently. Since walking around LA with a fixed blade on the belt is a invitation to unwanted attention, they are almost all unused. I definitely need to get out hunting more! I have always had an affinity for the little B&T. A ton of effectiveness in a little package combined with a simple elegance and beauty. At least to my eye.
