Show Off Your Mammoth!

Oh man. Well I did this to myself, I knew it would drive me crazy!

The 2006 Annual is absolutely KILLING me! A mammoth bark/ivory Mnandi, maybe I could get ahold of one, but the Annual? The stars would have to align and some mystic amount of good fortune would have to shine on me for that 1 in a million scenario of one plopping into my possession to happen. Ah such is life.

You guys have some amazing knives, I am awestruck.

US-STEEL, I agree, my annual would look mighty fine with that damascus

Here's one of mine. I've got some blue mammoth I'm about to start another one similar to this one. I'm a lover of mammoth my self. And no I don't own one of my own.:dispirited:

Not a CRK, but man that's some mighty fine work:thumbup:

Are you thinking of this one?

Actually ..... I was referring to the other 2006 Annual Mammoth Bark ..... the one with Ladder Damascus ..... if you still have it! I thought blues in it were a little more similar. Regardless all of the 2006 MBs I've seen are phenomenal! Like I said, must have been a good year for MB!

Tom, thanks for sharing that again, it really is beautiful. That is also the most interesting ladder I have seen as well.

I know sorry guys. I seen the post but didn't see it was on a specific forum. I tryed to delete the post but I found out you can't. Dang rookies lol.

Mammoth has so many faces. From creamy ivory, to multi-colored. I love them all! Here's mine.

Looks like 2008 wasn't a bad year either!

pvicenzi that's a looker man. Large or small?

I am experiencing some major mammoth envy. Beautiful knives....even the one that isn't a CRK. I'm so taken how knives with the same inlay can all look so different!

I thought this one had some decent charachter. I have a Raindrop Damascus blade on order, but it's like 10-11 months out. Damascus and Mammoth are a perfect match. I'd love to have some with the blue.

That looks great now. It'll be killer with the damascus

This has to be the favorite mammoth annual in my collection. It left the factory just like in this picture and then the first owner sent it back to the factory to have some raindrop damascus fitted to it and that is how I purchased the knife with the raindrop on it. Then I did some research on the forum and found the original owner and he still had the original blade that was fitted to the knife. So I purchased it from him (over seas) so now I have the complete set. The bark on this one is amazing. I have purchased quite a few sebenza's the last three years but this one was the most impressive when I unwrapped it. It is a large

That's an amazing story about an equally amazing looking knife. The fact that you were able to track its origins down is incredible; it also underscores the uniqueness of the mammoth, in that they're truly as uniquely identifiable as a human fingerprint. I'd imagine that the same could be said for the damascus blades themselves. In reality, when you drill down into the actual production, that knife is in fact 1 of 1 made.:)
