Show Off Your Traditional Knife Slips and Pocket Sheaths

Superb work Ken (all of them)

Thankyou Jack .

If I'm not mistaken that slip was inspired by a pic you posted of an original Sheffield slip that was supplied with the knife years ago .
Maybe you have it in your arsenal of images , but I remember being surprised ( a cunning way of saying I was ignorant ) that slips were provided by makers back in the day .

Some of mine are more rustic than others. :p

I recommend anyone try to make a slip. It's a fun crafty project for these cold weather days. Tandy Leather sells bags of scraps, and I make sure to get the vegetable tanned pieces. I've used hair dye to get some nice colors, assuming if it's safe for my head it wont hurt the knife. :D

Wow... thanks gentlemen for all the great photos! Any recommendations on members who do simple pocket slips? I'd rather go with a BladeForums member if possible. Keep them coming... amazing all the different variations...

I literally just ordered a buckaroo pouch from Horsewright this morning. Looking forward to getting it!

Here's another one I made for a pocket stone a while ago, It's a little rough in the picture but a pocket smooths it out nicely.

I'm an especially big fan of that second one! Nice work!

I admire those that have made their own slips, I've been given a boost to attempt my own:thumbup: Ken, your belt and pocket slips and just fantastic. I wear the stichless horizontal belt sheath you gifted me EVERYDAY:thumbup:

Here are three Hitch and Timber that I really enjoy.

Very nice Paul ! I have my Second Hitch and Timber on the way . What's funny is the one that's on the way is exactly the same color and model as yours I had made for the exact same knife . My Blade Form #35 .
Great minds think a like [emoji106]

Thanks Factor, I really like the one you posted earlier:thumbup::cool: does that one have a slot on the backside for currency? I've seen the mini wallet one's Hitch offers and feel I must order one;):)

EDIT: I see the currency slot in front behind the knife/Pen slot:thumbup:

You don't always have to learn how to punch, glue, and stitch to make your own pouches. Just start with some "seamless" leather. Like these kangaroo "parts". [emoji16]

Yes Paul you are correct it has the currency slot and it's the only empty pocket on mine lol[emoji846]
Is the one you have for your #35 the pioneer size ? Can't remember what size I ordered but Michael said he was going to make it for my #35 .
Hope it looks as good as yours [emoji106]
Edit: I'm thinking about getting the one with the notebook holder next but can't decide what knife to get it for lol .

Here is a photo of the knife slip my Wife whipped up for me. It is a plain Jane type of slip but it works!

These are the pocket slips I use, I may need to see if I can pick up some good leather and make some.
