Thankyou Jack .

If I'm not mistaken that slip was inspired by a pic you posted of an original Sheffield slip that was supplied with the knife years ago .
Maybe you have it in your arsenal of images , but I remember being surprised ( a cunning way of saying I was ignorant ) that slips were provided by makers back in the day .

Sorry for the slow reply Ken :o I have a few old knives with their original pouches, but I don't think any of them are of the quality of yours. Here's one by Needham with the ivory penknife it accompanies. That's a nice story my friend :)

These are the pocket slips I use, I may need to see if I can pick up some good leather and make some.

Figure your time at $5/hr and let me know the cost when you get finished :D

Slips are fairly simplistic for the most part. Most anyone with a little patience can make themselves one.

My only two pocket slips.

This one holds a 92 Talon perfectly (alongside my Bark River Adventurer). Anything bigger than a 92 won't fit:

And this one. It's probably too big for my newly acquired TC Barlow, but since I only have a few pocket knives I probably can't justify too many slips (yet). :)

Those KSF slips work well with a wide range of knife sizes. I carry everything from a 3.75" jack knife down to a #18 Coyote in the same one. Although, you have a TC Barlow in a Northwoods slip. The knife police have been dispatched.

Oh your slips are great Mike, I really like them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a nice ready to go knife slip. I just thought it might be fun to make up some of my own, maybe one that also holds a pen. I have tinkered with some leather working in the past for fixed blade knife sheaths so I already have some of the necessary tools to make them.

This was the first one I made.

This was a simple pocket sheath I made for a small fixed blade
