Show Pride In Our BF Makers!

These, among many others (Daado belongs in here, of course) are highlights in my heap of knives :

A small bowie (4,5" blade, still) by Galin Donchev. Great maker, very nice person. I also have a set of gorgeous gaucho knives made by him. Love the style, the materials, the fit and finish...

My pocket dagger design, beautifully made by Stoil Manchev, a very talented young Bulgarian maker :

And this very special, outstanding little hunter made by Jelio Tenev :

I have a couple.

First one is JK Handmade knives. Bloodwood and 01. It's a beauty and a nice size, but is so thick behind the edge that it just didn't work out for everyday types of use. It's excels at chisel(ish) sorts of things though, if that makes sense.

This next one is a drop point hunter from G.L. Drew. 52100 steel. Stabilized walnut over black micarta. 8" overall. A beauty and absolutely perfect for everything. It's been strapped to me often. I was using it to open jack chain the other day and there isn't even a scratch on it. Great in the kitchen too. I can't rave enough about this knife and the sheath. Best knife ever.

that JK is too beautiful not to use.....you should have it reground with a more appropriate bevel

Ah, very true. I've never really looked into stuff like that. It would probably get a lot more action after a regrind.

It is a very nice knife. Valuable tool as is, when needed. It eats hardwoods, and was great for working on old oak doors recently.

I agree, I have a few of his too.

So I was upset to hear that Jack O'Neill Jack O'Neill is hanging up his hammer as I'm sure were many others.
His knives are/were a great way for a blue collar slob like myself to get custom made blade without dropping both nuts at once😉. One of the best bang for your buck makers ever to grace us with their talents!

He had teased me on multiple occasions about making a knife in my favorite attire😜, so when he offered me his last ever knife, how could I say no!!!!! Impossible once I saw.it.......So, I give to you Jack's last knife.
It will be heading to me next week but his pictures are better than mine will ever be!!!!

Thank you Jack!!!! Your talents will be sorely missed...... Please do pop in and.offer your thoughts whenever possible...... Stay safe and healthy sir!
