I had no idea someone made micarta covers for the SAK. very cool. The only offerings I have for traditionals are two I've been posting up in a few place the last few weeks. Here they are.

I was uncertain how I would like a traditional in micarta, but after receiving my#73, I really like it. Thinking about trying to add an #83 as well.
 
Micarta on my fixed blades is a must for me. I prefer a "warm" feel especially in those colder months if used for an extended period.

That's a fantastic Menefee Gary, I like the recurve he gave on the main, flows nicely with the body of the knife.

Well dang, I don't have any traditional folders with G10 or Micarta. But do have a number of fixed blades. I hope these are not considered non-traditional fixed blades, if so, please educate me and feel free to delete my post.

Now after seeing some of these beauties posted up, some will be on my short list now. I really like the look, especially polished Micarta. I think it's pretty classy looking.

I'm still in awe of the micarta SAK.

Buzz please tell. Holy Moly, I have to get in on that because I've been ogling that pic for awhile now.

Also, ogling those G10 Case Backpockets. Got to get in on that as well.

I made a number of custom scaled SAKS, years ago. The red is linen Micarta. The white is paper Micarta. The green is canvas Micarta. The orange is G-10. My favorite material to work with was the linen.

They took a long time to make, just because it was mostly hand work. I didn't have a lot of power tools. The tweezer and toothpick slots were really tough.

If you look around the Internet, there are quite a few people who do this work, just much better than mine. They've got the tools to do it right.

The projects were fun to do though!!!

The Case Backpockets are great knives. The black G-10 is beautiful, but a bit slippery in the hand. The Carhartt Rugged Duck G-10 has a MUCH better grip.
