Beautiful
And you know I share your love of the black pioneer.

I got a buddy who lives down under and he makes it sound like rifles are a big no no over there. Mostly shooting galleries and everything is kept at the local pd and has to be signed in and out.
Course you are (I believe) a farmer so I suppose things are a little more lax for you?

Gday mate, yes I'm a farmer and the simple answer is owning guns is not a problem here. Semi automatic weapons and handguns are frowned upon but as long as you have a genuine reason to have one your fine. Self defense is not a genuine reason. You can keep guns at home no worries. The rifles just have to be kept in an approved safe. I've only had the police inspect my safe keeping 3 times in 30 years. My wife immigrated a few years back and as soon as she was granted residency she got her gun license no worries. I guess I'm given a bit of privilege for being out in the bush as for the many guns I own. I guess it would be difficult for townies to have a genuine reason to have a 45-70 😁.
Below is my tractor carry for the night. I shoot alot of rimfire because I mostly encounter rabbits, foxes and hares. But I have alot of centrefire stuff as well.
