Yes it's surprisingly snappy in the action. The 68 soldier I was given by my old mate was pretty stiff and took alot of TLC to get it freed up. This 71 is as snappy as some of my new ALOX's. The 71 could do with a tidy up but I like the look it has at the moment. I think I've said it before but I believe the older alox take a better edge. And this one is screaming sharp.
