It's time to display our Buck knives for The Collectors and show patrons at the convention center.
I had a struggle today tying down several loose ends before we could get on the road and head to Las Cruces. Plus, it didn't help matters this morning we were greeted with 27* and a choppy 30 mph wind. Which made things chilly. We finally got the items done and on the road. Here I am making sure we have everything. DM

We made it safely down the mountain to the convention center with just enough time to get the displays on the table before they close the doors. Here I am setting up. I had to show you this sign my wife had made for this show. DM

Security is now walking the aisles and giving all vendors the final call to get things wrapped up and out the door as it's 10 mins. till 6 pm. So, we are trying to comply. I'll come early tomorrow and finish up as they allow vendors entrance at 7 am. So, we come tidy it up, see old friends and maybe make a few deals. More photos tomorrow gent's. DM

Always great to see your set-up each year and you promoting Buck. Got that 334 with ya? I need your wife to do some scrimshaw on some 317s :)

Nice to see your set up again Dave. I hope to be down your way next year trying to avoid the "Montana Cold".

Looking forward to more of your pictures of the show - hope have a great show! OH

Thank you gents. It really is encouraging to us having folks like this bunch pulling for us. In our house There's no question or discussion we always want to do this for you collectors and putting our best foot forward for a good American company. This makes 10 years and we hope to go ten more. A fine looking day this morning here and we're looking forward with excitement to it's unfolding. I'm taking my computer and my wife, with her camera. So, we'll try to post you some up dates along the way. Have a great weekend. DM

The food always tastes good at events like this. I guess it's because of the fun. I'll be interested in a critique of today's tasty vittles Dave.

Thanks for promoting Buck knives. Keep the tradition going!

Hi David,

The doors are open and 'Houston we have lift off'. Here is Leesa & Hugh R. with us a Life time Buck Collector and old friend. I'll give you more later. Thank you gents. DM

good deal. hope the show is fun and accomplishes all its goals. thanks for sharing with us Sir.

Doc, the show is today and tomorrow. Thanks, jbm. It was a fast moving day. With knives lined up that need attended to. Lots of catalogs were taken. The patrons like it that Buck is an American made knife. I fielded some questions about 'what year was my knife made'? And concerning the foreign contract knives. Here is Frank a vendor who wanted me to sharpen his Pilot's Survival Knife. Which is a 9" blade. A large blade to concentrate on. DM

These big ranch boys track me down at every show to talk knives and have one tuned up. This time Brad brought his intended. Also a New Mexico State University student.
Great everyday type people. I like to see them growing up and taking the reins of their Father's ranch. After our visit, they left and I was thinking--- with young men like this coming in the wings, we are in good shape. DM

He david, are your short any knives in your collection?

Good job and your always grinning ear to ear.:D

Mak, haa. I think I have them. I wouldn't mind stumbling onto another barrel nut model. That one and the 2 micarta 112's and the shedua wood took some time to find. Oh and a one liner 110 took some time to locate. I believe I got more focused on collecting in 2006. A show patron stopped by my table and showed me a 2 line model 116, which are hard to find. I was excited to see it. And he was the original owner. So a treasure. Another gent brought by a Nemo, complete with the rubber divers sheath. It looked new. I was floored. I'm always glad to see items like these surface at a show. We're anticipating a good turn out today. More later. DM
