20220425_182854.jpgWe picked up this Frary Boy's knife from an estate sale last week. My research suggests it was made between 1876-1884 in Bridgeport, CT. I've seen the handle described as both cast pewter and pot metal.

In 1880, James D. Frary received a patent for a similar handle with a whistle on the end. I'd love to see one.

I haven't found any photos of an Our Boy with this blade shape or any advertisements or catalogs that list it.

I'd bet that the tip was snapped off by some young'n using it as a screwdriver. :oops:
