Thanks John, I think it's only in recent years, I've begun to appreciate these knives for what they are. Richards knives were always very common here, and I have given away so many myself

An old survivor LF&C New Britain Conn boys knife I just picked up. Unusual it still has its chain, also unusual in that it has cocobolo covers, LF&C used a lot of synthetics and not much natural cover materials. Very nice swedge on main blade.

Is that box elder ? Daddy taught me to make paper wad guns from the pithy box elder too. You had to whittle out a ram rod to fit .

It's a recycled picture from last week, but here is my Imperial boys knife. I got it in a lot from the bay and it wasn't actually the knife I wanted the lot for, but man is it better than the knife I got the lot for.
