Show us your Charlie Campagna SFOs

All I wanna know is who the former member is. My ocd is raging today
Sorry, not going to name names but he felt the 77 Barlows were riding on coattails of 15 TCs and were a poor copy, a lesser derivative of the TC…caused some hard feelings as I recall. Myself, I don’t care for the embossed bolsters on the Northfield Barlows…since its not two names/words like “Tidioute Cutlery” or “Schatt & Morgan” where the two initials work so good together as a monogram, they had to force the little “f” in there … Nf…just doesn’t work for me…wouldn’t work on a ball cap either.

Probably why they never caught on. 😉🤣

Posted late yesterday over on HJ thread but belongs here too, a couple of my favorites from Mr. CC. I have over a couple dozen 15s but this is my one and only 77…as I alluded to, wish I’d grabbed a few more Washingtons before their value shot through the roof as I think they could represent the highest level of craftsmanship achieved by GEC. 1C3144D7-8EFD-4836-809F-C9BFE92E08C6.jpeg

i thought about them once, but the little lip they cut in for the pick and secondary deterred me. there was that deleted red washington jack that once floated around but long gone now

One grail make you a lucky man BUT THREE

That certainly wouldn't work here! Many years ago, there was a Sheffield jeweller's who had a ring in the window with those initials, and a couple of fellers went in and beat the granny out of him! o_O

those smooth parchments are certainly a treat to see, some day i hope to add one to complete the hat trick.

Thanks for showing that HJ, Gus!! I remember those fondly. I'd completely forgotten that Queen ground the back of that "Robeson" style punch differently than GEC!!
That punch was used by Bill at both companies!!
My pleasure. I had no idea when I purchased. I just knew I wanted a harness Jack and thinking I’d find the GEC version then this beauty showed up at a decent price. Also first S&M I’ll own.

I think I just realized you, sir, may actually be the Charlie? I’m honored to meet you if correct.

Had time to look up more about the HJ I bought. I really feel lucky to have stumbled on it. It’s a SFO #1, so cool. I also know virtually nothing about S&M/Queen so this discovery has opened up a lot areas for more learning on my part. In a way it’s such a cool way to end my recent binge of traditional knives. I can’t wait for this one to be delivered. Is it really 420HC? Another steel I didn’t have yet.
