As I continued rifling through the archives, I came across these early back labels, circa 2013-14. I seem to recall they were posted here on BF back in the day, but I figured they were worth sharing again:

I was forgetting that GEC used term “Charlow” when the Genuine Barlows were introduced. It was a term (of endearment?) once commonly used but not so much anymore.

The Charlow/Genuine Barlow is one of my favorite TCs because it placed secondary pen behind main, something I’d like to see more of.

This is exactly what I was looking for . I was pretty sure the name Washington jack had nothing to do with Washington state, Washington DC, or even George Washington. Should've known it was more cutlery related. History learned.

I’ve assumed amber bone but it was gifted to me without box so I can’t confirm. Perhaps the kind gentleman who gave it to me will weigh in…

Three out of four colors that year were confusing! They looked very close to each other; I never left the choice to someone else again after that first HJ!! It does look like Amber, though!!
