JoKr JoKr , I understand what you mean. Soup bone varies a lot and individual preferences vary just as much.

To me, there can be too much “soupiness,”but some like them as gnarly as possible! I am just happy to have one.

The Red Soup TC has to be right at the top of the list of the all time greats of Charlie’s SFOs. It is certainly my personal favorite, and the last knife I would ever let go.

What really strikes me most is the rich dark red color almost all of them have. Was this a happy accident Charlie, waynorth waynorth ? Or did you ask GEC to give them an extra soaking? You somehow avoided any pinkness around the edges.

Since it was an "2nd Anniversary" knife, Bill agreed to an intensive dye bath!
Also, most of the finishing on the handle was pre-done, which eliminated most color-loss due to sanding!! But it is at least double the work, so not often done !!
If you have one, it is certainly special!!
