Thats confused me I meant for a knife?
oh me too!
without knowing that for sure, GEC uses Bovine tubular bone.
what we look at and what we see with the finished knife handle is the cut open inside of the long bone/ hollow bone.

pretty much all of the bone used to be used, including the 'scraps' after the 'premium' outer parts of the bone were used, the 2nd and 3rd cuts (sometimes you see porous parts in the bone) of the bones were also used, and the inside of the bones too.
and the inside is what we see with the so called soup bone handles.

Good explanation, JoKr!! The first ones were called "Inside-Out Bone", until gunstockjack gunstockjack came up with the term "Soup-Bone"!!!

I tried searching for the answer to this question that a friend and I were chatting about, but I didn’t find a definitive answer here in BFs. What are all the patterns that make up Charlie’s waynorth waynorth Diamond Series of knives? We came up with the Radio Jack 15, Harness Jack 15, Rope 15, Orchard Gem 38, Washington 77s, and Diamond Jack 48s. Any others?
