The Mantra2 looks like they put a Nilakka blade into a Delica handle. I like it!
 
Oh man, I need one of those HAP40 Delicas! What a fantastic design and value. Beautiful pictures, everyone.
 
Digging some of the aftermarket scales in this thread! Here is my original FRN integral clip Delica that was my EDC for a long time.

I like a bigger knife usually, but the Delica is great. I don't feel like I'm really sacrificing with it. I really like my SB version. I went with the Endura to try out HAP40 though.

The Mantra is just not doing it for me. I bought it for the collection but thought there would be a small chance I would claim it for EDC. The quality and finish are there (though it had a little rust on the etched spyder out of the box) but I was picturing it deploying a little smoother, and at 3 ounces on the nose it's about the same weight as my Manix 2 LW.

So, it's beautiful and I'm not parting with it, but I guess it just doesn't scream "beater tool" like say the Delica does to me. Also, I look at my own photos and my eyes go straight to the HAP40 Delica. It's like looking at a photo of your girlfriend and her friend, and you can't stop looking at the friend. The metaphor seems appropriate, because I want to like the Mantra and it's everything I thought I was looking for, but I just don't think of it that way ;)
