FYI the HAP40 Delica has a slightly thinner blade stock than the VG10 versions. So those photos may not be the best ones to compare blade thickness.

I love this thing. I got a PM2 s110v and a Manix 2 LW s110v at the same time. This has been the one I'm carrying the most. There's just something about that laminated hap 40 and burnt orange.......

Those are just orange and not HAP40's correct? I have been watching for the HAP40 Dragonfly to drop. Hope I didn't miss it.

One is a HAP40 Delica. Sorry if you missed them. There's probably a third batch coming? The Dragonflies haven't dropped yet.

Here's a couple of shots of mine. The black integral clip model is the one that got me started on modern folders back in the early 90's. That one and the stainless Delica 2 were both EDC'd for many, many years. And although I have a lot of "nicer" and pricier knives, the one I've been carrying the most lately has been my HAP40 D4.

Same here. The first generation Delica was my first real knife I bought and carried many years. The Delica is a true pocket laser!!

These are the only ones i've kept, used to have a bunch more. These are the ones that really stand out to me. The Japanese release Ti/Ats-34 delica on the right is the champ, it just has an outstanding feel and i love the steel.

...and that is enough of a reason for me to keep carrying my Delicas and save my money.

It's not so much that the Mantra is missing anything. It's more like the Delica is an iconic design. How do you improve on perfection?
