Pipeman, I cannot date that particular style of bone. I pretty much lump it in with Robeson's so-called "Worm-Groove" or Indian Trail bone jigging, all of which, I suspect, was an attempt at making what Robeson called "bone stag" look more like genuine stag.
That particular tang stamp on a master blade, however, has been postulated by others to date a knife circa 1900 - 1916.
