I don’t sharpen often at all. A good working edge is fine for me. I had a guy here send me a little strop to keep in my truck that I’ll use from time to time. As long as it’s still cutting what I need it to at work I dont worry about it. I don’t try to keep them razor sharp like I used to just due to the fact I’m not a fan of sharpening. I use an edge pro when I do sharpen tho. The razor edge doesn’t last very long but the working edge goes a long way for me. Also right now in the summer heat wire is soft and very easy to stripSo, I don't peruse this thread often, but whenever I do, I seeDcdavis putting some s35vn through its paces. It makes me curious, how often do you have to sharpen? What's your preferred routine? Based on how you use it, I'd reckon it doesn't stay sharp too long, even being the good steel it is.
To keep the post on topic: I sliced an apple with my Dpx HEAT today, though I failed to record it for posterity. Not exactly matching to tool to the job, but it got it done.
I figured either you loved sharpening, or you would say something along these lines. As long as the tool is doing its job!I don’t sharpen often at all. A good working edge is fine for me. Actually very easy. The blades just snap on basically, screws were already in the blade arms. Hung seven of them yesterday. I’d have no problem if that was the only fan style I ever hung againHow was the install on the fan? Says easy and quick. I've installed over 50 of them dam things over the years. (box and wires already there).
