Show your BEERLOWS!

"It's alive! My creature is alive!"

Dave, you crack me up! :D Evan's original beerlow with the drop-dead gorgeous scales IS monstrously attractive!:thumbup:

Great blades all but a beer scout is one of my grails!!! Any chance to still aquire one of these beer scout's coming out or am I way to late?

Technically speaking, isn't every one of the old everyday scout/camper/utility knives a beer scout, plus so much more? Call me a heretic if you must, but I wonder if we aren't seeing symptoms of a lot of secret SAK addicts here…

Yes............. you may be on to something 5K. Kind of a best of both world type of deal.

The weather is pretty crummy here and I can't get good lighting, so I'm borrowing this picture..... just arrived from Evan's shop, along with a few others, is this converted Crownlifter.... finally got an elusive Beerlow! Thanks Evan!

Looks great with the chamfered bolsters! That copper/carbon fiber stuff is cool, too.

Another convert! :D:thumbup:

Guilty as charged! :D:thumbup:

Oh and Philll, I was at a get together at a friends house when a nice looking lady asked me if I had a bottle opener for her beer :foot: It is now a moral imperative that I make a Beerlow! :D

Nothin' like a pretty lady to make you change your mind right quick :D

Here's the old beerlow conversion I found before, an Imperial Scout Barlow conversion:

From here: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=34415

The general consensus was that it was probably a franken-knife, and did not come from the factory that way. There was one detractor, however, and he had a good point in his signature: "The old timers concentrated on making knives, not keeping records!"

Evan says mine should be ready in a couple days!

I forgot to thank you.... you put me on to Esnyx Frankenstein mods!

On another note, my wife was recently saying she wasn't going to pay $30 for a bottle opener.... I had to hang my head when I told her how much I paid for my precious beerlow.... but hey, there's only 1 like mine in the entire world!

easy does it, yoos guys! if you're anything like me, you're going to go for your sixth and you somehow open the wrong blade, and...

Are all of these Beerlows custom modifications or has GEC or SxM or other manufacturer actually made a production Barlow with a secondary caplifter blade? If not production, it seems like a good case for a SFO as a forum knife.

I too, have been looking for a "beerlow". Is anybody making these in production? I NEED ONE!

The new GEC knives don't have the barlow bolster, so they aren't beerlows, but they are close!
