scratched up and sticky Enzo Elver after a little use

Here's one that I really enjoyed doing, I also took the liberty of polishing the grind and convexing the shoulder to reduce drag. To be honest, it's still a little too thick behind the edge to cut how I'd like.

I've really come to love Benchmade's 154CM. It feels so easy to sharpen, and takes a pretty crisp edge :D

I'm also a huge fan of CTS-XHP. Takes a nice polish, cuts forever, and has great corrosion resistance.

Finally, a quick video of a hair test. Not perfect by any means, but I was pretty happy with the results. This one is on Spyderco's VG10.

:eek::thumbup: Seriously nice work everyone!!!

I'm still learning my own way, and have a long ways to go. I get uneven scratch patterns, and patchy mirror spots :grumpy:

Not taking from anyone else's edges but that mirror edge certainly has some real estate on that Emerson. Great job!

My edges look like shit compared to those.

How?

With what?

Thanks!

Just had to touch up one of my EDU after seeing the tip had broken off.
King 800/4k and burnished on Washboard. Should have cleaned the rust off while at it, maybe next time...

Revived the thread after it was linked up here:

Very nice! The tip seems to be factory , from bevel width, curve & TBE. Did you thin down the primary grind also?

When I re-create tip, it tends to be wider (the edge bevel) because the stock will be thicker.

Refinished the outer laminate & touch up on Endura Super Blue

Chris, I reground the primary pretty aggressively, the tip is like a needle. The piece that broke off was about half the width of the cutting bevel and I ground it back a bit - no other repair needed...for now anyway.

Martin,

No wonder it's not detectable...
Wondering where is the other one you recently mirror'ed ;)

Chris, I think I can do better than that one... just have to remember to take a pic.
