I cracked and bought the new g10 grip. Feels very nice and actually like it, considering I do not like the older factory grip handles. The g10 feels more solid.

That is a great picture... Which part of Oregon do you live in ?
Thanks ! It's funny how it was just a quick spare of the moment shot and it's one of my best lol .
I'm in the Hillsboro area.
You out in these neck of woods ?
It's weird how that happens isn't it ? I actually copied your idea of putting the knife on my pant leg to take my pictures.
I never take them indoors because they always look terrible, so I thought I would give it a try...
I'm on the other side of the mountain. I live in Bend
Great shots , your pictures came out great to . Indoor shots can be more challenging since lighting is a very important element .
That's to funny I was just out in Bend/ Redmond today on business . Over a 3 hour drive for me one way but it was beautiful !
I'm pretty whipped now though and can hear my bed calling me lol .
Thanks. It is a challenge. I need to practice or get really motivated and make a light box because it would be fun to take really nice pictures. I need to take some more pictures of my 556-1 and see if I can get it to look as good as yours does
That is funny. Good thing you left early. It's snowing perrty good now. We are supposed to have a couple good storms through Monday with snow and winds up to 50 mph tomorrow... It's fun to travel sometimes, but it's always good to get back home
As I was sitting here playing with the new arrival, I did the usual adjust the pivot and it only took a slight adjustment to get her to swing free with zero blade play.
Then after seeing the picture The Factor posted after changing his clip, I decided she needed something to dress her up a little...

Thanks man in learning on the fly but the pictures do seem to be getting better [emoji41]
Glad I missed the storm I hit some snow flurries on the way up and thought oh man I'm going to get caught coming back down but got lucky .
Winds were picking up and felt them blowing my 53 footer around a little .
Yea it did feel good to get back home [emoji1303]
Looking forward to some pictures of your 556-1 !
53 footer. Must be another truck driver ? Either that or you have a big 5th wheel![]()
