Is this considered a Kwaiken (Kaiken) or Tanto?

My only tanto like thing. 1095 at 60 HRC on the edge and 40 HRC for the rest.

I would call it a tanto, because of the handle construction. Kwaiken (kaiken) for the most part are just tantos but normally for wear with a kimono or obi, and as such are normally wooden handled and sheathed.There are a lot of different blade shapes as well, but it dosnt change them being a tanto. Kwaiken are typically a little smaller, but the acceptable size range of tanto and kwaiken is almost identical.

My first "nice" knife that started all this madness back in the day, and to this day my absolute favorite Benchmade

Then a couple Barrages from the custom shop

And hopefully reverse tanto can play as well.
