
Is this considered a Kwaiken (Kaiken) or Tanto?

That would technically be a "kaiken" (or kwaiken) since it is more dagger-like. Technically, none of these knives, except for the ones that Richard338 posted, would be considered a "Tanto." Tanto translate to "short-sword" and they commonly didn't utilize the "Shinogi Zukuri" blade shape. The Shinogi Zukuri blade shape is really what we're all associating with as a "tanto" blade shape because of that distinct transition from the main blade to the tip. The "yokote" is that line.
Also, fun fact, the "Americanized tanto" shape actually predates most of what we would consider a tanto, including the "Shinogi Zukuri" shape. (Look up Kiriha Zukuri).
