what kind of animal is this?

IMG_0780.jpg

Which one?

My dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback crossed with a German Shepherd dog. The shot animal is a Fallow deer (Dama dama) in winter coat (the pair of spotty deer in the other pic are same species in their summer coat.)

Great pics, everyone.

One of my favorote post on BF. I can't stop looking at your pics.

Where do you live where you can hunt and eat like that?

What type of mushrooms are those?

What do you use the legs for?

Man the rabbit looks delicious.

Man i wish somebody could teach me to do that stuff.

I use most all my Spyderco knives but this is the most used. I've had it since the mid 90's and it's seen it's fair share of cutting tasks. I've used it to cut things I know I shouldn't have and it's still going strong. As you can see I've sharpened it a few times. Still one of my favorite knives, I think because I've used it so much. I know my pic isn't nearly as good as some of you but this is really all I've got at the moment. Sorry for the crap cell pic.

Thanks!

England

What type of mushrooms are those?

The small white ones are field mushrooms (edible)
The black round one is a Daldinia concentrica (King Alfred's cakes or cramp balls) (non-edible but can be used to start a fire or even cook on like charcoal.)
The great big one is a Giant Parasol (edible)

What do you use the legs for?

The dogs get them, though the tendons can be used for lashing/bindings etc.

@ xavierdoc

your dog sounds like a crazy mix, he looks mighty powerful

Xavierdoc - very nice pics. I need to get back outdoors with my kids soon. My youngest just got his first white-tail, not its his older brother's turn.

CPM D2 and M4 Militarys. Both used and with patina and a bit of wear.

Sorry bout the bad M4 pic, but it was taken to show a watch (Tawatec titanium)

NoFair - not to get off subject, but what flashlights are those? That first one sort of looks like a Surefire Z2???

I seriously love this thread. I use the crap out of my Para-2 and PPT, I need to get some pics up.

A couple that have been used pretty hard. I can't say how cause I got'em like this :p. Personally I'm a lot easier on my blades.

Surefire C2 with a Malkoff drop in to replace the normal P60 bulb (brighter and runs longer).

The small light with the M4 Millie is an Arc6 (modified a bit). Got a few lights, the ones I use the most are these

Older Endura that has seen better days but still 100% functional. Great photos everyone. I thought I was the only one that actually USES their knives. lol

I saw this the other day and it made me think of mine. They look pretty much the same...and it is definitely a user.

I've been alternating between these two lately. Gotta love the ZDP-189!

It's amazing how well these knives age. Wear on the pocket clip adds character without loss of value, the FRN and G10 scales take a beating and barely show it, the quality F+F keeps the knives around long enough to become well used, and Spyderco should use these pics in their marketing ads.
