This Salt 1 has seen hard use daily. I have a landscape company and it gets banged around good. Nobody makes a pinned knife as good as Spyderco.

Crappy cell phone pic, but we were replacing the roof on my father-in-law's car-port today and I used it pretty heavily. Cleaning tar off of the blade and scales wasn't exactly super-easy, but it came off. The blade had a few chips in the edge (ran it over some staples under the edges of some cut decking that needed trimming). Cleaned her up and sharpened the blade and she's good as new.

I experienced my first tiny bit of lateral blade-movement (I wouldn't even call it play because I can barely feel it move when attempting to make it move with a hand on both the blade and the handle, but I can't really see it or hear anything), and the blade is favoring the left-side scale a little more than before (still not touching), but it's overall in very good shape for the fairly extreme-hard use I've put it through while doing a stint as my primary blade while remodeling a house this summer (and today's roofing project).

Great knife.

Then my other Spyderco M4 Military with a month of use on site, yes my knives work hard, the G10 on the Military has started smoothing out around the edges after a month of non stop EDC. I have a P2, Custom Gareth Bull and a LEXK Burger knife that should see the same treatment the coming months.

There's some nice Spydie-users in this thread, but why is there a pic of a guy in his underwear in the first post???

 ???

I too was about to comment on that one. I think maybe the link used to show a beater knife, and now . . . uh, never mind. But yeah - what the heck!

Aside from that, though, the Spydies are cool.

Though there are many contenders, I think this may be my current fave:

Thanks.

I reground the edge a bit to convex, had to regrind a tip, it was starting to stick out of the handle and catch the pocket so many times have I sharpened it.

I think the site I upload my pictures on keeps reusing their links?
Anyway great knives fellas, keep em coming.

Gotta have a sharp one to check that sucker quickly and get the cover back on it so the smoke can do its job :)

Here is my first Delica. I carried this as my only knife for at least two years straight. I worked in a machine shop at the time and had one of the QC guys check the RC for me, IIRC it tested at 57-58.

Did you regrind the blade? It looks like an Endura 4 blade - that doesn't belong there.

Bought it in this condition. It does look very similar to a Endura 4 blade but steel is ATS-55. Tip was broken off and reshaped.

Nice! Mine should arrive end of the week, give me two weeks and lets see how she holds up on site! Will try and get plenty of pictures.

Here is a video of one pipe laying around on site I just had to cut:

Sorry for the air vent noise, I also improved my technique later on with that pipe.
