Here's the box I pick from everyday.

EDC, Buck 303, Version 1, Schrade contract,440, Ryder buckaroo pouch. Rotate two twins as edges need touch-up.

I use whats on my avatar, R. Bose BP 4" and a small lockback Case I purchased while working near the Case factory a few years back. It takes a lot of abuse and has been a good beater but for most of my EDC needs I use the BP.

Hole Moley :eek:Mr. Erdelyi, Now that is some serious edc rotation.. I recon you could carry one each and every day for a month straight and still never carry the same little jem twice..

I would love to see more(pic & description) about that cool little easy-open pocket knife with the level sheild and the wood scales if you are so inclined.

And I could go on and on..:D

Sunny D, my Dad died in his sleep a little over a year ago. On his nightstand was the same model Uncle Henry. The main blade was broke off, and he had filed it down to something like a wharncliffe. I have it in the box with my grandad's knife which is a 47 pattern case.

The Victorinox Pioneer on the bottom is my EDC. I bought it new in the early 80s, went on to other knives after a few years, and starting carrying it again a little over a year ago. I feel funny without it.

What do you keep in that capsule?

The multi colored knife was an end of day scale made from the different scrap pieces of scale material left over from the end of the days prduction run, the knife is a German make, I'd have to look at the mnfgr to let ya know but the wife is sleepin' (had a headache, wasn't feelin' well, so I ain't disturbin' her) it does have Coca Cola etched on the master blade.

As for the other knife with the level, it's a pakastani copy of a knife that was contracted out for Guttmann Cutlery, I believe the original was also german, I use this knife when I do installations, it's a strong sturdy knife and the level is accurate.

I'd like to find someone to rehandle a similar knife, like the Camillus Electricians knife with a similar level set up, I don't think it would be too difficult.

Anyway I'll post some individual pics tomorrow guys, thaks for the interest.:)

"End of day, I've heard that term many times about celluloid. I just made the connection. Thanks

Here's the three I usually carry, along with one I'm considering carrying but may not because it's a "collector." Clockwise from upper left:

Schrade Walden #866 Dogleg (want to carry it, probably won't)
Camillus Carbon Series Stockman
Queen Mini-Trapper (current favorite - only one currently in production)
Old Timer Improved Muskrat

Great topic. I sure like some of these knives.

Nice Roosters, I always loved end of day scales, they're like snow flakes no two exactly the same.:D

I love the old celluloid names, Christmas Tree, Karmel Kandy, Kandy Kane, so many variations,, so unstable, :thumbdn:.

my two opinels, i retired the #7 about two weeks ago (for now) so that i could carry the #10 for my EDC for a while and see how it feels to have a properly sized handle in my mitt (i like big handles...2XL glove). the #7 blade is really long enough, and the handle is certainly comfortable (especially with the mod courtesy of Coghlan's company) but i felt like trying a bigger size.

my opinel #10 shown with my other EDC folder, an old timer minuteman i believe. handy little penknife that would be my only knife except for the handle size. i use it for whittling little doodads. also featured in this pic is my outdoors/bush/carving knife, a mora (3.75 inch blade) i ordered from leevalley tools. interestingly enough this handle is smaller than that of the opinel #10, nearly too small, despite identical blade lengths.

my knives, all of them users, aren't as pretty as the knives shown here, but they work fine. very nice knives everyone, by the way.
