^ I love your Zaan, I love the contrast of the acid stonewash and the treatment to the scales makes the grooves pop. I vote you king of the Zaan's:D

I have had all 3 earlier versions of the zaan. The original design, the tanto version from TNK and the WC Version. ( I have not had the honor of owning the newest version with the updated LBS and Pivot ). But for the slightly older versions, here is a collection of pics that I posted years ago. They should help those wanting comparison shots. The only one I have left is the Old Original Version and its a keeper. Enjoy...!!!

I had one of the first with the "Umnumzaan" print. The other difference was dual ceramic balls. One for detent one for lockup. Very collectible.

There are a few differences that were made after the protos in 2008, including the dual ceramic balls. IMO that was a better option to limit overtravel of the lock tab than the disc, but oh well. Other differences included a sharpened swedge, deeper grooves in the handle slabs, and grooves extended onto the lock tab on the reverse.

Any pics of the different lock up would be appreciated.
