A little late to the party but I wanted to chime in.
First, Dan you sir are indeed an incredibly generous and gracious host. You epitomize the character that makes the bladesmithing commmunity so unique and in my not so humble opinion great. Thank you for sharing your shop, supplies, and most importantly, knowledge with us. And thank you for making my first billet of damascus such a spectacular one. I hope to be able to make it back up your way soon, and I will certainly be at the next hammerin.
Andy, thank you for the compliment, I only hope that I was able reciprocate a fraction of the knowledge I gleaned from you. Ha, and I hope one day to be able to grind on my 2 x 72 half as well as you do with an angle grinder.
