SHSH Question

Very nice knife! INFI or otherwise. Use it in good health.

As far as the "made for the Seals" thing, I have no idea, just what the seller told me.

As a long time collector and museum curator my personal philosophy has always been...buy the item and not the story unless authenticated documentation and verifiable provenance is furnished right along with the story.

Thanks leatherman. An apparent lapse of reason. Now I'm back. I forgot - and perhaps you could verify - my belief that round pommel SHSH2's were only made with slotted bolts, then tubes. They were never made with smooth bolts. That would have been the Bird's Beak, (and other early SH's), domain.

Also thanks for that link, W-457. Also looked up some info on these models by randucci. Some other great photos on these fine SH's can also be found by diligent searching. Would be great - does one already exist? - if there was a sticky with just SHSH2 photos and info.

Cheers...;-)

I was digging in the safe and found the answer to your question

I just so happen to have a smooth bolt SHSHII.

I'll look for a photobucket app or something to load onto my phone so I can post it. Or I can text it to someone and they can post it.

Text it to me my friend, I'll forward my number via PM

Thanks, guys. Looking forward to seeing that one. Must be pretty rare.

I "think" I managed this photobucket thing.

The things you find while digging around the lock box....
Picked it up 2005-2006 I think.

That's great! The first I have seen of one of these. Thanks for your efforts, guys...;-)

Now that I know that they, (at least one), exist - I will keep my peepers peeled for one for my friend Tuica. He of the growing early Busse collection.

Hahahahahahaha.

Monte....even if I had twice as many gems as I have, it would still be half of what you have!

Valeniiman, you really should turn on your email.
