I read a lot of threads asking what is the best SD knife but I think a better questions what knife are you going to have on you if SHTF we can not always carry a huge fixed blade so what pocket knife would you want to have on you if you could not get back home and it was all you had
I think I'd want my ZT 0350

Either one of these or their new M390 brother will do. That is why I EDC a full sized BM Ritter, you never know when it will hit the fan. Over here in earthquake country we just got a nice reminder.

My hiking beat the hell out of it tuff folder is a buck csar-t. I'm not generally a buck guy but it's built like a tank.

I agree, Bee Happy. My ZT 0350 is always clipped to my RFP. There is always a second of some type in the RHP.

Probably an alox SAK. It's a capable knife, yet can open cans and bottles, do small repairs, the screw driver tool can lift out hinge pins to remove locked doors, the awl drills nice holes. A SAK or multitool would be handier to have if SHTF and your scavenging.

Well, if the SHTF I will have on me the knife I have on me....

The thing about the SHTF is that the S rarely plans on Hing TF so you can conveniently pick which knife you want....

Personally, I believe that SHTF folks all need to carry orange Cold Steel Voyager XLs.

All of them.

Benchmade Griptillian is what I normally have me. Often have my Leatherman Wave on me also which would likely come in handy.

Depends on where one lives, or finds ones self in the event of a disaster. Generally, a set of tools for quick repairs would be best, so my SOG Paratool would be most welcome. My SAK Trekker would be a close second.
