Sick of hearing about Sebenza's?

I didn't read the whole post, but have you ever handled a sebenza? You definitely should get one (sell you liver if you have to). It is the best fixed blade out there. Nothing can compare. Believe me, I have seen them all. I haven't sharpened mine in a year (still have no clue how to sharpen the convex grind). I cut cardboard with mine everyday and shave with it every morning.

...On a side note... Built quality is really great, but there also many other knives that will appeal to some people a lot more. Tastes differ. A lot of people get so excited with their love that they can't stop talking about it, others tried it didn't get excited and moved on, but there is not much to complain about.

Hey guys.. dont take it the wrong way please!!!
I myself have had my time with a chris reeve's sebenza (small 21).. and i liked it quite abit...
but it seems to me that on these forums or advertisments, i.e. knife related things... well what seems to be the end-all of everything.. is the chris reeve.. CRAZE...

Well BF has about fifty other forums about many other knives and topics so here is a thought.......Instead of complaining about nothing and boring the rest of us with your disjointed drivel, just ignore the posts about CRK and don't go onto their forum.........

First of all, basically you're whining about the Sebenza so it belongs in Whine and Cheese. If you think I don't understand what the post is really about then please explain it further. Secondly, people speak the same now as they did 30 years ago, but the difference is that the new generation is slaughtering the English language. Not only do they have trouble speaking it, but writing it has all become shorthand and abbreviation. Being able to speak and write the English language properly goes a long way. It shows that you have at least the semblance of being educated and it is paramount when you are trying to get a point across or if you are asking someone for help. Thirdly, you say that my words are taken as an insult. I have no control over how you feel so if you feel insulted, oh well. I feel insulted that you won't take the time to write a proper sentence or use the proper language when you are trying to get your point across. You say that it's not wrong and I say that it is. You are on an internet forum where your main means of communication is written. When you have nonsense slang, no capitalization, and punctuation where it doesn't belong, it gets very frustrating trying to decipher what you are saying. Maybe this is why you get no replies when you are asking for assistance of some sort on these forums.

Again, please tell me in a way that I'll understand what this thread is about if it's not about you whining about the Sebenza's wild popularity? It doesn't appear that you are asking any kind of question.
whiner:1.Someone who won't stop complaining about everybody else, but yet gets mad when they hear other people complain. They usually pay more attention how other people make them feel than to what they are actually saying.
2.A little unmasculine feminine bitch who whines about everything and anyone and cant just let things lie. They will go on for years and act like a total pussy over nothing. They create drama.

Tony,
No doubt, sounds like a Whiner.

If you expand "Sebenza" to include "all titanium frame locks", I'm in.

OP, how about this. What 400 dollar folder would be worth the money. What should we be buying?

Check the Knifemakers For Sale section. I've picked up a couple of Ken Coats customs in that price range. Yes, complete knives with scales and bolsters and everything, not just flat metal slabs that amount to thick liners with nothing over them.

I understand where the OP is coming from, people do talk about sebenzas a lot and suggest them when it is completely inappropriate but for my money sebenza is the best butterfly knife out there.

Personally I think if you don't use your sebenza, and I mean hard, you're doing the knife, yourself and Chris reeves an injustice. They really shine in a blue collar environment

There are many topics that have been discussed ad nauseum here on the forums.

But...

Be patient, welcome newcomers, and try not to post if you've got nothing constructive to say.

Tony,

:thumbup:Whining about a whiner still counts as whining.

Honestly Sebs are not the only thing over-recommended here. If I asked for a thin, lightweight slicer made from stainless no doubt I would get recommended a busse.

This thread seems to be a trolling thread. Not sure what the point is.

They are great knives. Produced with very tight tolerances. They have a history of some if not the best production knives out there for over a decade now.

They should be talked about. No one knife is the cup of tea for everyone and that is cool too.

Closing.
