Attempted to do a trade with Sidewindr for a kiku matsuda fixed blade, plus $50 cash .We agreed to trade for my BNIB Strider smf,I mailed my knife out last Tuesday with a tracking #, SIDEWINDR Did the same with a tracking # . The next day when I went to track my knife that Sidewindr shipped me, it was not found in the usps system,I then went to the post office and tried to get it tracked by a post office manager, this tracking did not exist, initially Sidewindr sent me a picture of his receipt, but I came to find out that this was a fake receipt, who the hell does that. After finding this out, I attempted to get ahold of sidewindr, he ignored my emails, then he finally responded back back saturday night . I work for the dept of corrections out in California, when talking to Sidewindr, he brought up that he is a cop in Texas, this guy is full of shit,in no shape or form is this guy and type of law enforcement, maybe a greeter at Walmart., guys a straight dooshbag . I also got contacted by another forum member that he had a bad experience with SIDEWINDR to. SIDEWINDR never sent me a knife in trade he straight ripped me off for a BNIB Strider Smf, I know I messsd up, but this won't happen again, this asshole needs to get removed from our forum, he does not belong here. I'm sure that he's burned other people have been burned by this guy, JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS GUY USING MY STRIDER MAKES ME WANT TO THROW UP IN MY MOUTH. Ill get another Strider, no problem, but this dooshbag has something that he doesn't even deserve. Ill end on that, I got screwed over on this deal, won't happen again. If you truley do bleed blue, and understand this, than dont do business with this guy.

I contacted Sidewindr over a month ago in reference to a Seiko Dive watch. We talked numerous times times and he stated he would like to trade his watch for my Grizzly SERE knife. It was 2 weeks and hadnt received the knife. I contacted him and same stated that he had " been sick" and would immediately ship the item tomorrow. That was over a month ago. Never received the watch, an apology or ANY email, etc. I never sent my item but I know if i hadnt of waited until i got my item to ship my knife then i would be out alot more than time. He mentioned that he was LEO in TX, pretty sure that was BS. If i said i was a plumber then he was have mirrored my response. Im hoping he is a good guy but just made bad decisions but his conduct dictates otherwise. Ive not left negative feedback before, to my knowledge, but i did for him after not hearing anything
 
I'm sorry for your misfortune. You should take legal action and notify the local authorities and report it as mail fraud.
 
Someone please email me his real name and contact information. I can find out if he is a LEO in Texas. one of my very best friends works for the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. If he is impersonating an officer, he is bound to get a really nice surprise.
Pending his explanation of what is going on here, all of his threads in the Exchange have been locked, and a warning has been issued. I've had enough of these flakey deals.

OP, contact the Laporte PD and ask for Sgt Wood from criminal investigations.
 
Thank u brothers, I want to apologize for any language that I used that might have offended anyone, I really look to reading a good post on our forum. I just let this guy get under my skin, I sincerely am sorry if I offended anyone. Everyone be safe and thank you for all your support.
 
He told me he was leo in Houston. I have the email saved. Thats what really upsets me because i AM law enforcement and that gives us a bad name
 
I hate dishonest people! Especially when they straight up rob someone! I doubt this scumbag is a cop. So, Sidewindr what do you have to say for yourself??
 
I really am law enforcement brother, and I've been out in the sandbox to, this guy has no integrity or self respect, and the fact that he states he's law enforcement, makes it worse. I take alot of pride in wearing and having a badge.,this SIDEWINDR has no idea about this.

I believe that impersonating a police officer is felony in Texas. So a really nice surprise indeed. While they're at, perhaps they can recover the knife as well. I am disgusted by both acts that this guy has committed. I have friends in my local law enforcement offices and a father who is an ex-state trooper. Hope this all turns out for the best and Petiepablo37 ends up getting his property back.

I don't think purporting to be LEO on an internet forum is what that law addresses. I would think that law is for people walking around with badges and guns, pulling people over and such. I could be wrong, but that seems more logical.
 
I know that verbally identifying yourself as a police officer counts. Not sure if written carries the same weight.

I hope it gets straightened out and if this guy is stealing money and/or valor I hope it gets bad for him, legally or otherwise.

Appreciate the good words, I'm down in Transylvania County, SW of Asheville. I'm a retired LEO and not at all a fan of those who impersonate or otherwise tarnish the badge.
