Why don't we standardize it?

If everyone mails Gus one of those "0" padded envelopes AND the small USPS video box(which you should all have anyway) the knives can go into the envelope and then the box, and they will not flop around, and you can re-use the envelope if Gus doesn't seal it.

Does that work?

Yup. It's the most sound, simple & logical way to do it.

I understand the return envelope process. What I am confused is on how much do I need to send to you bastid? I am goint to make out a money order for 45-50 dollars will that be sufficient on my part? Please excuse this answer if it has been answered here already I gets confused easily.:o

Knife will need to be paid in full at the time you send in your check to Gus....the knife will not cost any less than $93.00 or any more than $97.00.

Gus doesn't want any cash accounting issues, so he is holding off until we get a price nailed to the penny, iow....until we know all the particulars, even though I think he is being too retentive about it.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I thought we were going to pay half now and half when the knives were ready.

That would make a 3-ring circus turn into a Chinese fire drill.;)

I'm still a bit confused about the mechanics of this deal , but regardless, I would like to place an order for one. Whatever the majority comes up with (stamp and date format) is fine with me.

Thanks to everyone for the footwork to put this together!

Everyone votes on stamp and date format...we tally it up, and inform everyone what is going on the knife.

We inform Queen of the particulars of our order, they amend the quote(should be NO increase to cost, maybe a slight decrease) we figure out the money due, per knife.

Gus posts this figure, and everyone sends the money to Gus.

SOMEONE prepares a design per the request of the stamp maker, who I will contact.

We ship the stag and 50% of the order total(deposit) to Queen. We wait until November and we send them the other 50%. Then they ship the knives to Gus, and he ships them out to us, using the pre-addressed boxes/envelopes we send to him.

The reason everyone pays in full at the time of order is because of the wrangling required to do it once, is enough to drive you crazy X2.

If anyone needs further clarification, PM me...if this doesn't work for you, you can take your name off of the list.

I write this without any 'tude, just want to make sure that everyone understands, and is comfortable with these terms..if not...not a problem to pass.

I just came across this thread.
If possible I would like to get two of these.
I am good with whatever stamp and date format is decided on....

I think we will cut this off over the weekend and start asking for payments to be sent in around Tuesday next week.

P.M. or email me if you do not have my address.

Is there enough of that beautiful stag you provided pictures of to cover the entire order?
A definite  will probably get me in.

If Queen will work with it yes. Otherwise it will be bone.

They will let us know when they get it.

Once this thread closes this weekend that will be it for the orders.

I'm just glad its not going to be natural color giraffe bone and brass bolsters like Steven wanted. ;)

If Queen accepts the Stag. I hope they flame it. It sure makes a prettier Scale Cover IMHO...

I'm sure others have a different opinion, either way it will still be Ok with me.....

They flame all their stag normally, but thin NS liners and stag are prone to warpage we have been told, and will have to explore other means of coloring if necessary, should the stag be employed.
