On a serious note, if some folks want to get together at NGK let me know. I don't live far from there and maybe some of us could meet up on a Saturday.

It is when we put our knives ahead of our wives that the problems arise !!!
So put your wife before your knife and we will be allowed to live our life !!!

So true!

I've managed to get my wife to like guns. She has a Dan Wesson .357 revolver set-up for her (It was my 1st handgun). I don't even know where she keeps it, but try as I might, I just can't get her into knives.

Maybe I just haven't found the right one for her. OTOH, our oldest daughter too my all black Scallion, & uses that quite a bit.

Well, i am hopefully scheduling this trip for the end of march, should have things nailed down in the next week or two. My birthday is on tuesday the 25th of march, which is a good cover to spend money on myself and my habit. obviously, being a weekday this might eliminate the amount of people who could come.

lets see whos available and if its enough we could nail down a date and time.

anyone in the MD area (silver spring or the surrounding areas) who is interested in visiting NGK around march 25th?

PM me if you'd prefer not to say in the open forum and to give me contact info for the trip.

oh snap...we always do Martinsville the weekend before (Sat & Sun) and the weekend of (Thur thru Monday) the race...:(

I've been Married for nearly 10 years, the whole "Knife" thing has evolved over time. In the beginning she understood the need for a knife as a necessary EDC item. As I added new models to the mix, the "Why's?" started. I answered something about the number of guns, knives, and Snap_On Tools that I own, were directly proportional to the amount of shoes, and handbags she owned. At that moment her light bulb went on, the questions ceased, and all was good in the kingdom.

As far as her having her own? Waste of time; she has me take care of all she needs done, so the knife would just reside in the abyss at the bottom of a handbag.

The kitchen cuttlery issue was put to rest the first two weeks of Marriage. I tested her with "1" good quality knife for general kitchen duties, and after two weeks, the blade had a bent tip, and a few nicks out of edge. So, I keep her cheap knives as sharp as I can, and pull mine out when I cook.

Gotta go scout her 12'x12' walk-in closet for new handbags. Might be able to have a reason to shop for a new knife.:D

Elarski, this is the thing about women. It reminds me of my first wife...

My ex told me we couldn't afford beer anymore and that I would have to quit...

Then I caught her spending $ 65 for makeup.

I asked her how come I had to give up stuff and she didn't.

She said she needed the makeup to look pretty for me.

I told her that was what the beer was for.....

I'm glad she never came back.

LMFAO. anyway back to the trip idea for a second. SPX. what would work better for you guys, like i said, i can be flexible.

My GF said "Why so many knives, you only have 2 hands?"

She carries a G-10 Leek I got her though.

My wife is an okie and her dad was into the whole mountain man rendevous thing. In other words, she grew up around guns and knives. I'm from Texas so I was handed a .44 Magnum upon being born into this world ;) Anyhow, she was a little "shy" around the assisted open knives that I have but within a couple of weeks she had her own to carry which included brand new shiny kershaw. She's the proud owner of a model 638 smith and wesson .38 special and thinking about getting a CWP. It's all my fault I'm sure.... :)
