Silly ? but - Maker's Mark blade side?

I've started putting mine on the spine of the blade. I like how it looks and generally works better for me since I like high grinds.

I put the mark where ever on the blade is suitable. No one has ever complained as long as they can read it.

I get this alot with chisel grinds too. I like my chisel grinds on the left of the blade....so when you're holding the knife right handed you can see the ground side and not the awkward flat side. Emersons are like this.

I like my marks to be on the left side too. Horizontal on the blade Loveless style.

To even things out I like the steel type, or any other personalization or info on the right hand side. Horizontal.

After 40 years of knifemaking, i've found it dont matter where the mark is as long as the customer is happy with the knife.
