Those of you in the US should keep in mind that if you should happen to receive a box containing a conventional folding knife and, by chance, a spring, and you somehow manage to get the spring into the knife, you have just manufactured a switchblade. In most states, this is illegal.

So, the spring trick may get the knife to your door, but restoring it to its former glory will, in most states, only put you back on the wrong side of the law.

It does explain how my Halo got into Oregon, I'm sure of it
