SIMON is a SCHMUCK

The one part of Law Enforcement I hated, and I bet every LEO here knows exactly what I mean is THIS part.
Simon has NO criminal history. The UNofficial Investigation is NOW an Official one. The knife issue is small Potatoes. Simon is just about 25, wife a young wife and a five year old Daughter. He seemed on the "up and up" making several good, clean knife deals. computer deals, and deals for electronics. BUT, he got greedy or desperate and HE DECIDED to begin to SCAM many folks. He will , no he shall go to PRISON for getting wrapped up with fast money and he will NOT be allowed any Discretion in this matter. Simon made his own "bed", but in a strange way, I FEEL VERY SORRY for him.
The "Garda" WERE planning to allow Simon a chance to JUST pay up and walk away. NOW, it looks like the money owed for knives will now be "money owed" that he MUST make "good on" AFTER he faces some very serious issues of Wire Fraud, the use of the Net to conspire to DEAL Narcotics [whether he had dope or not means NOTHING], THEFT BY DECEPTION, and several othe US Federal and Ireland Govermental charges.
SIMON is heading for Jail, and a LONG stay appears ro be the ONLY way to get his ATTENTION.
MY intention was/is to just get the Knives back, and/or the KNIFE MONEY. I am not CERTAIN the 'Garda" will allow me any say in Simon's future, whatever happens to simon shall be a very serious consequence to his SCAMS.
But it looks like he went from a "Decent Guy" to a SCHMUCK and beyound GREED, what ekse go be a reason!!!!
Statements are being written now by the victim formites. SIMON's future is NOW in SIMON's HANDS.......I wish he would just do the right thing and pay up if he wants some BREATHING ROOM.

As one of his victims I have to agree Ira, it's sad to see his family go through the next five years of their life without him because of money. I wouldn't trade any amount of money for the time I had with my kids between 5 and 10 yrs old, or any other time period for that matter.

I have compassion, I am able to forgive, but I also have a real strong "right or wrong, no middle" personality. Simon makes good, turns his life around, I forgive and forget. Simon chooses to continue the path he's on, then he deserves what he gets.

Simon, go look at your daughter. What's it going to be?

How do you know Simon treats his family any better than he treated you? His daughter may be better off without him. It's not a pleasant thought -- but don't beat up on yourselves by feeling sorry for Simon.
 
OK, here we are:
1. SIMON is well aware of this thread
2. SIMON is involved in Many "scams" They include: knives, Drugs
other collectibles, and has made a pretty profit
3. WHILE I DO NOT understand the English-Southern Irish culture,
I do understand that a Southern irishman who gets a phone call
from a very English Lawman, who offers a NOW very scared YOUNG
Irishman a :deal he cannot refuse" and the IRISHMAN does NOTHING
That the Irishmen must "reap what he sows"
4. The statements are now enroute to England via Fed-ex. This is
NOW an OFFICIAL investigation by the Garda. I was unaware of the
ENORMOUS power and authority that the "Garda" yields, and some
of the tactics can be quite "hostile" to Law-breakers.

5. One member of the Garda went out of his way to offer SIMON one
chance. Simon remains silent. With the WESTERN UNION evidence
alone, a clear pattern of Theft by deception and FRAUD has
been uncovered and the evidence compiled by me and sent to
ENGLAND and IRELAND is "Damning"

6. MY SOLE intention was to just get the knives or the money. This
should have been simple and clean. I honestly did not care
who else he scammed UNTIL I talked with a few of the chronic
pain sufferers who have been HURT DEEPLY by Simon. I just had
to dig a little deeper.

7. THERE ARE SEVERAL FORMITES that have helped me EVERY step of
the way. I did NOT do this alone, the credit goes to ALL of
the HONEST folks on BF. I wish I could name those who have
E-mailed me with info, advise, and some great ideas to attack
this. We NEED to do this with every scammer who stops off at
BF to take our knives and/or OUR MONEY. To the MANY who HELPED,
I applaud you and wish you would let me Identify you!!!!

8. SO HERE WE ARE....Simon is going to be arrested and charged
by the Irish authorities with Wire fraud, Using the internet to
engage in a drug conspiracy. Attempt to distribute controlled
drugs, THEFT by DECEPTION, and several others. Under the IRISH
system of Justice, there is NO possible way he can avoid PRISON.

9. NOW, why do I feel like sh*t? Here is a 25 year old BOY with a
wife and a five year old daughter, he struggled to put himself
thru the University in Dublin. he has NO criminal History, and
until he became desperate, he had engaged in several HONEST
transactions. If he would have JUST made arrangements to ship
the knives or pay back the money, he would be given that
second chance that I was given when I was young and foolish,
and many here have been given. BUT WE never stole or did
anything DISHONEST. I made many young stupid mistakes, but
given the chance, I made good on my errors. Can a person
become so financially strapped they MUST scam in order to keep
food on the table and a roof over their family's head?
Like the guy I caught jacking deer a few year's ago. He shot one
Doe at night. I was sitting in the FIELD. In his beaten,
unregistered truck was his wife and three rug-rat kids, the
oldest maybe seven. They were starving and had zero cash. I
helped him GUT the deer and load it in his truck. Is SIMON
just another BROKEN SOUL????

10. To the Police officers and to the JUDGE reading this, what
would YOU do? Do I just allow this to take the next logical
step, or do I just "DROP IT" and allow Simon to get off the
hook? Will he stop scamming and stealing and lying? NAH,
PROBABLY NOT, he has already made over three grand VIA WESTERN
UNION. But this is the WORST part of doing something like this.
While SIMON is a Schmuck, he is not a SCUMBAG. Not like a guy
named TED, who I have started to look at, and he is a PURE
POS SCUMBAG. He, I shall enjoy, but Simon the schmuck is
painful. MY WEAKNESS: Human compassion.

My old man used to say "You can lead a hourse to water, but you can not make him drink." If you gave him a way out and he remains silent, he has made his own choice. Sad :(
 
Well said Wolfmann. Sometimes we do what is right simply because it is right. As for Simon being in dire straights. To me, it is one thing to shoot a doe to feed the family. Deer were on this planet as a food souce long before we invented game laws.
Preying upon prey animals is the job of the carniore. Preying upon our fellow humans is the work of the cannible. There is a vast difference.
This youngster took a gamble and lost. He will pay for what he has done. The sadness in my heart is for his Wife and child.
I can only speculate that he didn't even tell them where the money was coming from.
I grew up during the 70s and 80s. My family lost everything we had during the oil crunch. I took my first job at age 8 shoveling stables (friends say I've never quit :D ). Through all of the hard times, my Father, with two Master's Degrees and my two brothers, took every odd job we could get to keep the family going. What we didn't do was start stealing. I'm sure that there was never a night that went by when my father's pride wasn't taking a beating. To have the education he had and be throwing newspapers and having his young sons working to make ends meet must have hit him hard. None the less, he taught us the "right was right, wrong was wrong, and anything could be accomplished with enough hard work.
I now have a college education, a great wife and a beautiful little daughter. We live in a nice home, drive late model cars, and have food on the table. We did it all through blood, sweat and tears.
Don't be taken in by guilt on this one. There is always a way to make an honest buck. My family did it. Our grandparents and parents who survived the Great Depression did it, and a hell of a lot of folks do it every day.
This guy chose his path and knew the consequences that would effect him and his family. I feel very sorry for his family but for him, I am all out of pitty.

Unfortunately i say if he is unwilling to live up to his end of the bargin, then tie him to a stake and burn his ass to the ground. NO MORE COMPASSION FOR DUMBASSES !
 
Wolfman, when I retired three weeks ago, I had almost 27 years as a harness cop. MOST of the real psychos I ran into, and there were many, were in their early to mid 20's, and many had caring, innocent families. It is my firm belief that the needs of society for its own preservation transcend any concern for the problems of the habitual evil-doer.I have had a tough time getting to sleep many times after taking young kids to Family Court, or a wife to a shelter, but I got over it.I finally realized that there are reasons why not everyone is cut out to be a cop. I'm so glad to be out of it, that I want to shout for joy. Now I have to learn how normal citizens live! Top regards. Jim:confused:

While I can very well understand your compassion, for I too have let people go on minor violations, it is my opinion that this person was offered an opportunity to make some of this right and refused. I feel for the family and what they will have to go through, but I think that this person went into this series of offenses with his eyes open and knew very well what he was doing. These offenses aren't something to be ignored. IMHO he is going to get what he has coming, just too bad he didn't think of his family first.

I too struggled with THIS for 25 plus years, and JUST spent the ENTIRE night trying to make sense out of why a young, intelligent, loving BOY would phuck over his family, NOT JUST the formites and others he scammed, BUT HIS FAMILY!!

As you BROTHERS have said, it is TORMENTING sometimes to have to HURT someones FAMILY, but sh*T, I did NOTHING wrong, SIMON DID!!!!

As of 1100 IRELAND time, the Law Enforcement folks in IRELAND are preparing to deal SIMON the cards from the DECK HE SHUFFLED.

In SOUTHERN IRELAND, Schmucks can get dragged out of their home and SHOT in the head in FRONT of their FAMILY:( :( :(

I have been PROMISED he will LIVE to see PRISON for a MINIMUM of THREE YEARS...............

As to Mrs McGLYNN and SHANNON, My heart is broken for you, but your HUSBAND has perpetrated MANY serious CRIMES. I am so very sorry. I wonder if the Irish authorities (s) could email his mugshot over so it could be framed and given to the people he has victimized.
 
I intend on posting his ARREST PHOTO. I will need permission from the formites who are VICTIMS of SIMON DAVID McGLYNN. I would also like to be able to post some of the "official report" and "record of arrest" AS A WARNING TO THOSE WHO THINK THEY MIGHT ESCAPE PEACEFULLY AFTER SCREWING ONE OF US!!!! You may get away, but not without a LUMP or TWO.

Ira/ Big Bad Wolf of the BFC world, Thank You. You have gone after the guy hiding behind an ocean and several sets of possibly conflicting laws. You went thru three sets of law enforcement agencies at minimum to get this guy. He is a crook thru and thru, and let me tell you as a financial guy, I truly believe it is at least as devastating to screw with someone's money as it is to screw with their person, b/c we are now a credit driven world. Add that to the sh!t he has pulled w/ the chronic pain and drug scams, he deserves the pain and suffering he is going to get.

Shame is no problem for this guy, time apparently is not pressing on him either. I would rather gut myself than face my family after being busted for major felony-size items. Just one more of those reasons to stay on the easy side of the blue line.

Everything ReconDoc says about his growing up rings vaguely familiar. ReconDoc pulled thru pretty okay and so did a lot of other people in the same situation. Lots of dirt-poor people in this country and I am guessing elsewhere have pretty upstanding moral compasses so any notion of feeling bad for the guy, let's put it on his wife and kid instead. Wife may be innocent or may be possesed of knowledge, but the five-year old girl, well, she sorta has to ride this one out regardless of her feelings. You don't get many choices as a five-year old kid other than vanilla or chocolate on your birthday. This sounds like the break maybe momma and child need.

Remind me to never get out of bed on the wrong side of you, though, I am pretty impressed about the detective job you have done here, as I uspect are all of us. There has to be a way for you to make a professional go of this, and chasing idiots down via net, well, it seems that your "disability" has not slowed you down but in fact is an asset, as it gives you time to chase. Any way you can make this professional? Lots of scams out there....

Thanks, BUT I did NOT do anything but "facilitate". Guys like gtaSteel[Thanks LES] and OTHERS I cannot mention because they are too humble just GUIDED me by the hand!!!!
I have a close friend who is a Police officer in England. His brother is with Scotland Yard, and HIS best friend is a POLICE Administrator in Ireland.
The victims E-mailed me plenty of RECORDS and DOCUMENTS. I just put them in order and E-mailed them to ENGLAND. Many FORMITES helped me with INTERNATIONAL ISSUES way over MY HEAD!!!!
I sure did DOG simon, but he is still lurking on BF and KF. He is using MULTIPLE E-mail addressess like:CBT@EIRCOM.NET
While I could NOT get through to EIRCOM, the authorities in IRELAND sure can. They do things just a little different "over there".
SIMON is DOG-MEAT. HE SHALL be arrested VERY SHORTLY. NOT because of what I DID, but because of what SIMON did. I just provided the GARDA with the appropriate "places to look", which peaked their interest.
BUT SIMON still does NOT get it. I do NOT expect anyone will ever recoup their financial loss. Simon will pay them back by serving time in a dank, dark, dirty and DANGEROUS correctional Facility in IRELAND.
The BIGGEST crime was the DRUG stuff, NOT the knives........Ira

ONLY that it is "actively under investigation" and that whatever their protocol is for taking someone into police custody is being done now.
The GARDA are in possession of all of the "evidence" and action is forthcoming.

I will be talking with my contact in England FRIDAY. Hopefully by then, SIMON DAVID McGLYNN will be all comfy in his new "temporary quarters".

So... Any word? Just curious. All this international intrigue and crimefighting is better than the novel I've been reading, so I'm waiting for the next "chapter". :)
