Since the Japan crisis....

As long as we have a zombie attack, you are all set. Although in a zombie attack, I think staying put is better. In addition, Japan has proven that not only does a nuke spill NOT create Godzirra, it doesn't create zombies either.

I've been there. Pulled the "Rambo" thing with my BOB. Cut back on the arsenal and carried more food. Seems like a smarter idea if I'm hoofing it somewhere.

We have done the same , but I just bought a couple of those large plastic bins with sealing lids. We strategically placed them in the front corner of the garage so they will be accessable if the house falls. (lol)
We have 1 AR15 chambered in 7.62x39 and 1 AK the same. With that 2- 650 tins of non currosive rounds. 10/22 with more ammo that I can count! 2 HUGE bottles of 2 different anti-biotics. And 2 bins of canned food!
My hunting pack is researved for the "important" stuff. = )

I really don't understand how this relates to the natural disasters in Japan. It's not a war over there you know...

You don't know my neighbors! LOL!

My wife is weird like that. I have the guns and ammo anyway--end of the world or not.

If I saw you during a disaster I'd probably pick you off from 200 yards with my scoped 1894.

See I have always been of the mindset to keep my goodies out of sight to make myself less of a target to those ambitious mofos out there who don't have as nice stuff and are good at distance shots...

So no calling attention to oneself...

Nice pack btw - I love my Kifaru gear and thinking if picking up a ZXR to compliment my Mollex.

Nice gear. A little bristly for most any scenario I would consider, but to get to the rig and have what you need:thumbup:. Mine keeps evolving. Thanks for sharing.

You're missing your kevlar but I was looking again and thinking-you don't even need kevlar, your holding so much steel that any lead or shrapnel flying at you would surely be deflected:D:rolleyes:

hopefully i wouldnt have to bring this load much farther than the car but i can alway shed weight as needed

What good is a car when all the gas stations are on fire and the roads a jammed with abandoned vehicles?

Pretty much this....:D

What part of America do you live in and what exactly are you expecting to happen :eek::eek:

Thats a nice collection of gear, but you might want to try hiking with it someday before the shtf. You might lighten it up a bit after that.

Now if you have a neighbor who gives you problems, mow the lawn wearing all that and I guarantee you'll never have another problem!!

Is that a Pointman? It looks like the lifter straps are down on your shoulder blades? Belt riding too low? (center line of belt across hips)

Fitting page from MM's

Yeah its a Pointman...it def needs to be adjusted a little...I just put the whole rig together a week ago so its in its infancy...but thanks for the link...very helpful

Well if shit was hitting the fan and I saw you zipping by.....you'd be the first one I took down from a distance. You would be like a walking buffet. Why go to the store when the store comes to you. :D

My hope would be that someone else would be with me and i wouldnt be carrying so many guns on one person. Like "hey man, lets travel together. here is a gun for you"... but its good to able to have a backpack that COULD carry what you needed, no?

everyone and their mother will be toting a gun and a backpack....so its unlikely i might be the only one looking as I do...others will prob have wagons or shopping carts full of shit...my pack relative to a shopping cart/wagon is more mobile and all-terrain....try pushing a radio flyer through the woods! And you wouldnt shoot me cuz Id shoot your ass first :D:thumbup:
