Since the other thread got closed....

 I thought we were going to talk about the knife?

The most impressive thing to me, is the fact that Busse is finally doing skeletonized handles. So we may yet see big choppers with the improved balance that this construction technique can offer.:thumbup:

Now, if I could just get my recurved FBM fixed... ;)

If I were anywhere near 230's part of the country right now I'd roll through and by him a drink (oh wait, can we say that?). I mean, who hasn't dreamed of a touchy-feely knife forum that goes well with bubble baths and flannel jammies? Maybe we need INFI manicure kits with a matching loofa... with INFI tweezers for sculpting our eyebrows?

/sigh

I like the skeletonized handle idea. I hope it makes its way to other models, neither in the first release appeal to me (skeletonized or not).

Skeletonized handles in big choppers can cause an enormous amount of vibration. . . kinda like a tuning fork on steroids!

Back on point. These two models will usher in a new line of lightweight alternatives for those who are looking for a feather-like nuclear weapon!!!!

How far up the ladder (length-wise) will we see the skeletonized handles? 8in??

No, I don't think it is. I'm quite certain somebody could actually cut themselves with something like that!

I'll take one anyway, but only if I can have a Daffy Duck scene on mine.

Hmm. I would've pegged you for a Ludwig von Drake.

Good Lord, yes!!!!:eek::eek:

It would take a very sophisticated design to prevent that ... perhaps by driving up the fundamental vibration to a high enough frequency. If that were possible.

I didn't post in the other thread, but SLUT seems a bit offensive.

I don't know, it just seems a bit degrading.

Trust me, I'm no prude or bible thumper......

good concept, terrible naming scheme:, guaranteed to offend some both immediately and intensely.

make it choiless and I'll be interested, though I will likely never talk about it in terms of it's 'official' title.

I've never understood how mere words can offend. I was always taught, " there's no such thing as bad words, just bad intent". The words themselves mean absolutely nothing without proper intent behind them. When it comes right down to it, words are just nonsensical noises that we make to give names to things.

OK, then, I look forward to tapered tangs on my next Busse chopper. :D

That sounds like a winner.

I've grown to understand that results are generally more important than intent in how you choose to act around others. If telling your girlfriend/wife/any-female she looks fat in a pair of pants is intended to show that you believe honestly is important, she's still going to feel hurt regardless of what your intent was. You can get the point across without saying the words "you look fat". Words mean things, often universal things within a given society. In this instance, it's a very well defined, well known word that is either negative in connotation, or used in instances that are not currently considered work environment friendly (and even then still often negative).

Great knife idea, terrible naming scheme.

Maybe we can discuss Jerrys new awesome design here in this combat knife forum without all our little feelers getting hurt. This is now safe to view with your new born, females, your parrot reading on your shoulder or your cat mrs snugglesworth.

Thick spine with thin grinds = PERFECTION. The knives look AWESOME.

Way to knock it out of the park with this one.

Just to be safe, i've designed a new coating for possible future "snuggle grade" (TM pending) designs.

Now lets see if we can all stop being so idiotically serious and have some fun again instead of worrying about how a funny combat knife name sounds sexist.

Do we have a price idea on these yet?

All this talk about parrots has given my budgie a complex now! Thanks! :p Anyone know a good parakeet therapist? She is just sitting there on my shoulder quietly muttering to herself. :(

on to knives, I want that one! When are you going to start the aftermarket coating? I want it on one of my SHSH's as well, would be a nice conversation starter around the camp fire. :D

if you could manage to powder coat an image like that, you would probably have a decent market for such customizations
