Since the other thread got closed....

If telling your girlfriend/wife/any-female she looks fat in a pair of pants is intended to show that you believe honestly is important, she's still going to feel hurt regardless of what your intent was. . . .

Do you know why she would feel hurt?. . . Because you called her fat! . . . BUT if you say that you ate a big "fat" steak for lunch, would she still be offended because you labeled something else as "fat"? . . . If so, dump her immediately, because she is most assuredly nuts!

Same rule applies here. If we were calling any woman a slut or said that she looked "slutty", then it would most definitely be out of line. HOWEVER, we are not doing that. . . we have labeled a particular knife build A SLUT, much along the lines a "fat steak". In turn, if we follow your line of logic then I can only think about how many "Anorexics" we have offended in the past by calling our skinny knives by that name. We have, likewise, made a lot of "fat" models in the past. . . . I now realize that I too have probably been deeply offended because I'm a fat guy. . . . .

Perhaps we should call them the "Cut SLUTS". . . 'cause they cut like crazy!!!!!

I'll be drinking,

Jerry :D

PS. . . Any further discussion of the name SLUT should be had in a new thread dedicated to that subject alone. There will be no further discussion in this thread.

Back on point. . . . The new CUT SLUT line is killer cool ! ! ! !

.

I wonder how they'll respond if I use this F. Dick on them?

Back on point. These two models will usher in a new line of lightweight alternatives for those who are looking for a feather-like nuclear weapon!!!!

Jerry, quick! Skeletonize my two CABS before you send them out! While you're doing that, I'll be busy cutting labels off my clothes and edges off my maps. A gram saved is a gram earned! :D

I do like mine light, so I expect the Busse SLUTS will be a real pleasure to hold:thumbup:

I also like Guy's idea for a tapered tang on some future Busse's. That would be awesome!

I thought the name "SLUT" was simply a play on words since these blades would be debuted in Tulsa... Now it's the name for a new line altogether?

I think the bigger issue like leatherman and 230 hit on is that this forum is either family friendly or not - no gray areas...

And people thought Busse was expensive before? Imagine it would cost almost as much as real expensive knives if they had Disney licensing too.;)

That, and they would lock them in the "Vault".

I have always hated that so much. In fact, I am a official Disney hater for sure.........Greedy B@#$%^&s!

Wait a minute........Busse also stops making models, which is basically like locking them in the Vault!!! You Sneaky Busse!

... Maybe we need INFI manicure kits with a matching loofa... with INFI tweezers for sculpting our eyebrows?

Just what is needed around here. INFI loofah should do an fabulous job of thickening up the thin skin around here.

I think the name is hilarious personally. I also like the skeletonized handle. Hmm... I wonder if I can retro fit the mil overrun AD I have?

I've grown to understand that results are generally more important than intent in how you choose to act around others. If telling your girlfriend/wife/any-female she looks fat in a pair of pants is intended to show that you believe honestly is important, she's still going to feel hurt regardless of what your intent was. You can get the point across without saying the words "you look fat". Words mean things, often universal things within a given society. In this instance, it's a very well defined, well known word that is either negative in connotation, or used in instances that are not currently considered work environment friendly (and even then still often negative).

Great knife idea, terrible naming scheme.

Perhaps Im the only woman out there who feels like this but... DONT FRIGGIN LIE TO ME, letting me walk out of the house with a dress on that makes me look like Shamoo is not, I REPEAT, NOT going to make me feel better about myself. And trust me, I will eventually figure out the dress is horrific on my body type. It's an acronym not some retarded lie that men seem to be dumb enough to believe we as women need to hear. I'm offended that you would encourage others to lie to their spouses.

Not a new line, just a series of models that will be like the ones going to Tulsa with skeletonized handle frames and deep dish hollow grinds. . . .

Any plans for these to make it to the company store or bc.com? I'm really liking the grind on these quite a bit.
