Single-blade Sheepsfoot or Wharncliffe Knives

Otter Messer makes their Ankermesser sheepfoot and a Webermesser wharncliffe.

How big do you like your sheepsfoot blades? Here are some that I like.
An Italian CEM agricultural knife with carbon steel blade (3" blade) and bubinga handle (4" closed), one of my favorites:

Here's a work knife (Arbeit Messer?) from Otter:

Here's a Cannon sheepsfoot model:

Here's a Rough Ryder marlinspike with a substantial stainless sheepsfoot as its only cutting blade. Sorry I don't have a photo showing off the open blade.

Finally, here's another Rough Rider half-hawk, which have been mentioned in previous posts. Stainless blades, but a heck of a knife IMHO:

If you're looking for a wharncliff option I would recommend looking into the case copperlock. They make that with either a single clip or wharncliff. Pretty nice fit and finish on those and easy to find.

I think I bought that knife in 2008. It was on Collectorknives.net with a bunch of other choices. I was able to mull it over for a few days before I decided to buy it. Those days are long gone.

It's unreal how it's gotten to this. I remember buying a GEC a few years ago several months after it was released and multiple dealers still had several in stock.

Here you go. 😁 Rough Rider RR897 Marlinspike from the Synthetic Yellow series.
For those who don't know, only the spike locks open on these. The bail/shackle doubles as the release lever.
The blades are 440A. Rough Rider has a good heat treat, and are generally quite sharp out of the box. I've never gotten a dull one in the 60 or so I have.

Sheepfoot blade is 3 inches, bolster to tip.

If it matters, the MAM I posted earlier (see post #5) is 3.25 inch bolster to tip.
