I like to keep them under 4" closed. 3.75" ideally. How big do you like your sheepsfoot blades?
Vastly different in sizes.Their Swayback Jack looks like a viable alternative to the GEC 47.
Quarter inch in closed length according to official specs.Vastly different in sizes.
And in two sizes I believe1+ On the otter. If I recall it's available in stainless or carbon steel.
In-Hand... The Viper feels big and the Swayback feels tiny.Quarter inch in closed length according to official specs.
Part of the reason I've mostly moved on from GEC.I was curious what prices they were asking for #25s on eBay...it's unbelievable.
It's unreal how it's gotten to this. I remember buying a GEC a few years ago several months after it was released and multiple dealers still had several in stock.I think I bought that knife in 2008. It was on Collectorknives.net with a bunch of other choices. I was able to mull it over for a few days before I decided to buy it. Those days are long gone.

Here's a Rough Ryder marlinspike with a substantial stainless sheepsfoot as its only cutting blade. Sorry I don't have a photo showing off the open blade.
