Single blade spearpoints?

The #15 is almost perfect to me, I have a Crown Lifter in Ebony that I really like but don't care for half-stops. I'm still keeping a close eye on the spearpoint ones that are still available.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, the 56 looks fantastic. Not quite the look I was going for, but now I'm really considering it once I can afford to pick one up. I wouldn't have thought that a spearpoint could look so good on a serpentine frame, but I like it.
If there is any #15 spearpoint available at dealers, I would recommend you buy now, before they are gone. It will likely be a long time before they are available again.

Hear! Hear!

I'd add that the 2018 run of spearpoint 15s was of particularly high quality, and they can still be found at very reasonable prices on the secondary market...for now.

Seconding the Case Tribal Lock. While the one I just received is in my preference, Tru-Sharp, it is beautifully made and highly recommended.
I honestly wouldn't change a thing with it.

The #15 is the one that fits almost every want I have, I'll probably just get one. The jigged bone looks particularly nice.

I just remembered the GEC 78, idk if it has half stops though.

Mine DOES have half stops...
Had two and regrettably sold them both. The 78s are still by far my favorite GEC knives; I loved my two blade Northfield but the single blades are just so nice in the hand.

Otter has a nice carbon steel spear blade model in a couple of sizes and handle/scale options.
It should have known that asking for suggestions would make this harder, I'm liking everything posted in this thread!

Take a look at Enigma knives. Available in M390 and US2000MC; you will want the 2000MC, which is very similar to CPM Cruwear. Very thin blade and edge grinds and strong spring. The scales are a bit on the thin side, so they are very light and disappear in your pocket. Most come with wood scales, but I went with acrylic:

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely take a look at those. I've fallen in love with M390 (got the Lionsteel Shuffler in pocket now:D) and that nebula-like acrylic looks fantastic. Nice lines on that one overall.

Good afternoon gentlemen, I'm in need of some assistance.
I've been trying to find the perfect spearpoint knife with no luck. Single blade, carbon, no half-stops and a stout pull.
The #15 boys knife has everything I'm looking for with the exception of the half-stops. Are there similar, readily available knives out there that fit this description?
...
What size range do you prefer? The GEC 15 is 3.5", right? I agree with many of the suggestions here, but some are considerably larger than a #15. For example, I like the Case Tribal Lock a lot, but it's over 4" closed, and a lockback. I like the spears on the Cognet l'ecureuil and the Mercator Black Cat, but both are 4 3/8" closed (and the Squirrel has a half-stop).

I think someone recommended the S&M #99. I have one that's excellent, but whether it has a half-stop is a matter of debate. Mine certainly doesn't have a square tang with "firm" half-stop, but there's a small angle on either side of half-open that the blade needs "help" to move through. Rather than "half-stop", I'd call it "half-slow down".

I generally prefer 3.5" to 3.75", but sometimes carry something larger if its slim enough.
You've reminded me also that I need a Mercator. I have a couple of Douk Douks and love them, but I like that slim spear on the Mercator.

The Queen teardrop pattern #06 is a favorite of mine. Both of mine have HS, but they made a liner lock also. Here is a quick poor quality pic. The maple is carbon and the buffalo is D2.

I've got a knife that matches your description to a tee. This one was modified by Glennbad and started out as a 3 blade Schatt & Morgan Heritage Cattleman knife.

No half stop, spear blade, carbon steel, and stout pull. It's on the Queen 99 frame and I believe there were models made that were just like this one is after its modification. Some were stainless steel but I think they made one with carbon steel too.

You might try a search for "Schatt & Morgan 99 pattern" and see what pops up.

Now this is very interesting. I may have to chat with Glennbad about some work.

Oh no, my wallet might be in trouble
That would go nicely with my sawcut Barlow :D
Yep... I have one in my 'cart' at one of the unmentionable online sellers right now... trying to decide if I really want to do it. I already have one Tribal in black delrin, CV steel. If I knew the scales were thicker than the delrin, I'd probably do it.
Decisions, decisions....
