The thread on trappers got me thinking.

I love single blade trappers, and have three versions of the Schrade 194ot.

So who else makes a single blade trapper?

I thank you; my wallet may not.

Case's 048 pattern slimline is my favorite single blade trapper. I have two. A 31048 which is yellow Delrin, and a 61048 in Dark Red bone, both with cv blades. Check them out, they are nice pocket knives..

GEC makes their 3-7/8" #48 pattern in single blade, with either 1095 or 440C.

Queen makes a very nice 4-1/8" single blade slimline trapper in D2, pattern #11.

As others have mentioned
Canal Street Half Moons

GEC #48s

Queen #11s

Love my Case slimline in yellow delrin. 39 years young and still a regular user.

Would the GEC #23 fit in this category? It's another favorite carry for me.

It would for me but it's a different beast than the 194ot (which is very similar to the GEC #48 imho)

I have a couple of Case Slimlines in yellow and red bone, both CV.

I like them.

The old yellow one is worn and sharpened down enough that it is a slicing son of a gun.

Very useful pix Trand.

Must say I keep dreaming of a Barehead 48 in stainless, not been done yet I think.

Thanks, Will

No Will, I don't believe they've done so yet. There are 2 single blade stainless #48s (amber fine jig and sunset yellow bone) that I don't have but those had end caps too.

KSF still has the Scagel (GEC #48 based) Fruitports. The bone ones are gone but there's stag and ram's horn.

As for customs, here's one by Dan Burke with Green linen, Rick Menefee with Butterscotch paper micarta, and one by Todd Davison with Desert Ironwood.

Another Coats beauty, this 1 has my favorite clip blade shape of any knife I own. The pic doesn't do it justice.
