so I'm taking my wife out to San Francisco on public transportation this sunday... can't carry my big knives so i have to settle for a small one... candiru might have to be it... I think the 14 would be to big to pocket carry in public without hurting someone feelings...
Yeah, mine came rolled stamped as well (don t even know if the laser version exist for the 5) and i don t think jimping is an option either? I may be wrong though, either way congrat on your new blade, one of my favorite.
JD, your handles and sheaths are works of art brother. I'd wear any size in a well populated area and if anybody was looking I'd offer to show them your work and pass along the contact info
sheeple aside my wife's general rule for being out with me in public with a fixed blades is under 4 inchesThis all came about after getting some looks and overhearing some comments while out shopping. I now carry those in my EDC bag (That goes with me everywhere).
Todd, that's incredible brother: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1218156-Are-You-Kidding-Me?p=13948202#post13948202
Congrats on the new 5. Hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy ours!
Great blade Dubz!
Congrats on the new steel Dubz, that was a great story...kuddos to Todd too. Awesome stuff.
That is why you also need the 15.Thanks. I'm wanting to try it out in the kitchen before I cut any wood with it, but I may have to go to the store and buy some bigger food. Somehow the chicken breasts we cooked for dinner just look a little to tiny for this monster.
It's cause you aren't using the correct Posts Per Page. If you use the correct (40) then it's only page two.Seriously? Five pages of snark in one day? How's that happen?
Do you want to run out and kill a deer and break it down too using just that knife? Or is that just me?Thanks guys, appreciate it. Have hardly set it down since it arrived.

I've got a 15, but my understanding is they should be of roughly equal hardness, so I don't really want to try cutting it with the 5.![]()

Flattened bird is my favorite type of bird...You need to buy some whole chickens and spatchcock them (you can search for it if you don't know how...basically removing the backbone and flattening the bird out). The BK5 does this marvelously and they cook up really great done this way. Plus spatchcocking is fun to both say and do...
Hope he doesn't fart and vibrate himself right off the edge! That is a heck of a descent angle! Looks like the type of place I'd love to go have a picnic lunch though. I can just imagine how beautiful his view is right about then.My son seems to be enjoying himself, whilst living in Colorado:
