I have 95$. I posted a thread on how I wanted a rat 3, but I change everyday on what I want to get. Recently I've been on Yourcornerstore.com, just because of such low prices. If anyone knows any other good site that'd be cool, because being they have low prices, they have a majority of knives OOS.

Moved from General Knife Discussion to FEEDBACK (GBU) which is where we discuss who's been naughty and who's been nice.

Maybe they have low prices because they don't stock. You order, they order from a supplier, you wait, maybe the order takes a long time, they charged your credit card when the order came in ...

Buy from a reliable dealer even if it costs a little more. Check shipping and handling also. Cheap price may not seem so cheap once that's added in.

I know one guy who runs a small business from home but does it right. You cannot count on that. Small dealers can be understaffed, overworked, insufficiently business-like, or just plain untrustworthy.

Asking here first was a very good idea. Hopefully someone else can chime in and tell us both that yourcornerstore.com is good to go. :)

Knifecenter.com is pretty good, they show if they have items instock. I placed an order wensday night on a paramilitary with D2 for 118.00 and they had it shipped by thursday morning. ( to bad ups doesn't run on the weekend it was only a couple hours out on frida morning)

I rarely buy from the lowest bidder, unless the lowest bidder is a known, reputable vendor with whom I'm familiar.

There are a lot of snakeoil sellers out there.

Personally, I think you can't go wrong with New Graham Knives. I've also seen recommended the following, in the past (in no particular order):

eknifeworks.com
onestopknifeshop.com
islandtactical.com
gpknives.com
knifeworks.com
thebladeshop.com
Sooner State Knives

Most of the above I've seen recommended multiple times.

Their low prices are likely a result of having hardly anything ever in stock.

Places like NGK don't have the rock-bottom-lowest prices, but they have competitive prices, usually stock what they sell, are prompt with shipping, don't over-charge for their shipping, have people to answer the phones and email, etc. That's all part of customer service, and it doesn't come for free.

My .sig expresses my buying philosophy perfectly.
